A setter has a lot asked of them, and this group is already showing they can handle it. They are making decisions on the move, finding ways to get their hitters good looks, and bringing consistency to an offense even when the first contact isn't perfect. For this age, what catches my attention is the confidence they play with and how comfortable they look taking charge of the court. Setting is as much about feel and decision-making as it is delivering the ball, and these 2030s are showing some advanced pieces early. I'm excited to keep watching this group as the game gets faster and expectations grow.

[player_tooltip player_id='908457' first='Madelyn' last='Cook'] doesn't play the position like a typical young setter. She plays with confidence, taking over an offense with purpose in where she puts the ball. She works to second contact, creates opportunities for her hitters, and doesn't lose control of the offense when the first pass isn't there. Cook already shows some of the decision-making and court command you look for at much higher levels of the position. She is comfortable running the show, and that is a big reason she continues to stand out in this 2030 class. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='939402' first='Kynzie' last='Lueth'] brings a polished feel to the setter position. She is controlled, getting to the ball, getting herself underneath second contact, and she can deliver from more than just the perfect spot along the net. Lueth has a steadiness to her game that lets hitters stay aggressive because they know she will work to give them something they can attack. She handles the responsibility of the position extremely well for her age, and there is a lot to like about the level she is already playing at. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='1022712' first='Finley' last='Bouman'] is an athlete at setter, and that opens up many possibilities in her game. She can cover ground quickly, chase down a tough first contact, and still find a way to keep multiple attacking options available. Bouman doesn't need everything to be perfect to run the offense. Her ability to adjust on the move and create something from a broken play is impressive for this age. As the speed around her increases, Bouman has the athletic tools to keep pace with it. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='1022302' first='Tessa' last='Schroeder'] plays with confidence and authority. She looks comfortable with the decision-making process, controlling traffic and taking responsibility for the offensive situation. Schroeder distributes the ball without hesitation and provides the defense with options. You can see her confidence in how she delivers the ball and what she does with it. It's difficult to ignore the ability of Schroeder to run an offense this early in her career, and she still looks like one of the setters separating herself from the pack in this class. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='1022940' first='Claire' last='Bakeberg'] brings consistency and control every time she gets her hands on the second contact. She moves efficiently to the ball, stays balanced, and gives herself a chance to deliver from different areas of the court. What I like about Bakeberg is that she doesn't look rushed when the play breaks down. She settles into the ball and keeps the offense available. There is an advanced calmness to her game, and for a setter, that can be just as valuable as the flashy play. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='1022293' first='Ashlee' last='Bindenagel'] can put some serious pace into an offense. She gets the ball out quickly, pushes tempo, and gives her hitters opportunities to attack before the defense has everything lined up. That is where Bindenagel gets especially compelling. She isn't simply setting a location; she is creating an advantage with the ball. Seeing a young setter understand how tempo can put pressure on a block is impressive, and Bindenagel already has pieces in her game that play well beyond her age. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='848473' first='Alyssa' last='Urena'] has a natural presence when she is running an offense. She competes to own second contact, plays confidently with the ball in her hands, and isn't afraid to make decisions in the middle of a rally. Urena keeps hitters involved and has an awareness of what is happening around her, rather than simply sending the ball to the same option. There is a feel for the position here that catches my attention. Urena looks comfortable being responsible for the offense, and that is an advanced trait to see this early. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas
