Tonight, district championships are on the line for Classes 1-5. These 11 players could make the difference as their teams fight for a title—and a chance to keep their seasons alive.

Mila Asay — Kickapoo

Kickapoo will need a bigger offensive night from Mila to upset Ozark and claim the district title. In their previous meeting, she had nine kills and 13 digs, coming one kill shy of a double-double. A six-rotation pin, Mila brings value on both sides of the ball—but she'll need to find ways through Ozark's bigger block. Give her the ball early, and let her make an impact at the net.

Blair Bough — Ozark

Blair has led Ozark all season, and she proved it at the team's last meeting with 15 kills and 15 digs for a double-double. With a young team around her, her leadership on both ends will be crucial. If Blair gets rolling, Ozark can quickly make the match.

Sami Brown — Eureka

Sami's blocking could make the difference against Lafayette's pins. In Eureka's 0–3 loss to the Lancers, she led her team with four blocks but hit 0-for-4. At 6-foot-3, Sami gives Eureka a formidable presence at the net. She'll need to stay disciplined, take away hitting angles, and turn those blocks and touches into opportunities for her team.

Hannah Scerba — Lafayette

Hannah is a relentless defender who reads hitters, fills gaps, and seems to be everywhere on the court. Her defensive work helped spark Lafayette's attack in its quarterfinal win over Parkway South and semifinal win over Kirkwood. To help the Lancers take the district title, she'll need to bring her usual consistency and match her 2.6 digs-per-set average.

Natalie Pineda — Fort Zumwalt West

The Jaguars' outside hitters get plenty of attention, but Natalie's opposite play will be key to keeping the Bruins' blockers honest. She has the power to put up big numbers, with 12 and 10 kills in her last two district matches. Her hitting percentage above .400 is just as important: if Natalie comes out strong, she could create major problems for the block. She'll be looking to finish her final season with a district title.

Ava Schuette — Francis Howell Central

Francis Howell Central faces a monumental challenge against the Red Knights, and Ava could be the player who gives the Spartans a chance. The outside hitter brings a heavy swing and is her team's go-to option. She'll need a career night, along with the high volleyball IQ she's shown against top competition, to help Central pull off the upset.

Frankie Vonderahe — St. Joseph's Academy

Frankie has been one of the top liberos in the St. Louis metro area this season, averaging a little over four digs per set. The Angels will need her steady passing and relentless defense to help contain the Rams' powerful attack. If Frankie delivers her usual performance, St. Joe will be well positioned to claim the district title.

Emmie Debrower — Saxony Lutheran

Saxony has plenty of size at the net and the firepower to take down Notre Dame. Emmie, the 2030 libero, can help keep that attack going by delivering her usual five digs per set and keeping rallies alive. Saxony has gone 3–0 against Notre Dame this season, with Emmie collecting 40 digs across those three sweeps. Another big defensive night could help Saxony keep its season alive and return to the state playoffs.

Julianne Kilgore — Warsaw

It's been 33 years since Warsaw advanced past the district tournament. To end that drought, the Wildcats will need a huge performance from Julianne against Cole Camp. The teams met in their season opener, when Cole Camp won a close sweep. Julianne stood out in the loss, recording 10 kills on .400 hitting—the only Warsaw player to hit above .176. If she gets more than 20 attempts and stays near that efficiency, Warsaw could make history.

Kylie Woods — Farmington

Kylie was one of the top hitters in Farmington's previous meeting with Festus, finishing with 16 kills on .517 hitting and adding 13 digs. A relentless six-rotation pin, she brings big swings on offense and tough defense and passing. She'll be expected to deliver at the net again, but her passing-lane work and defensive commitment could be just as important to the Black Knights' title hopes.

Rylee Lawrence — Festus

Farmington took the first meeting, winning 3–1, but Rylee gave the Tigers plenty to build on. The outside hitter recorded a match-high 21 kills on .306 hitting. Her size and scoring range make her difficult to stop. If Festus wants to turn the tables and win the district title, Rylee may need an even bigger night.
