There's plenty of high level volleyball remaining to be played on Saturday, and there is no shortage of recruits ready for their close-up. Here are four players—one from each team—that will be keys to their squad's success.

Although listed as both an outside and a middle, Mallory is best known for her primary passing abilities and her skill set as a pin attacker. Her size alone will give Hanover Central fits, as there's not another matchup that HC can produce to combat her skill, strength and height. Mallory's 3+ kills/3+ digs per set will be on full display on Saturday.

Nora brings a unique perspective to the outside hitting position. As a left-handed outside, defenses have struggled all season to contain or even slow down her ability to score points. With a full arsenal of shot selections at her disposal on both in- and out-of-system balls, Nora's ability to take any set and make it a scoring opportunity is what got her to this article. Her athletic and compact nature, along with a great emotional chemistry with her squad, makes her the ideal person to watch in the first semi state semifinal on Saturday.

With active feet and solid ball control in all parts of the game, Sophie is the ideal defender for a high-end 3A squad. I don't speak much about defenders in my stories simply because there are SO many of them here in Indiana. That being said, if you're looking for a defensive stalwart who can lock down serve receive for a team looking to pull and upset in the second semi state semifinal, Sophie is the person you should be watching. From 0-0, you'll see that Miss Lee is far more than the 4+ digs per set that the stat sheet tells you.

Of the four listed today, none have more accomplishments or plays a higher level of club ball than Elyse. Compact, explosive and smart, Miss Mead is THE center of the offense for the Chargers. At 5+ kills/3+ digs per set while hitting over .300 AND being a primary passer, there are a ton of kids out there who should be emulating Elyse's approach to the game—-be skilled in all aspects, and be an outstanding teammate. There's no question that without Elyse, we wouldn't be talking about West Noble in the semi state this weekend, with an opportunity to go to Gainbridge in early November.
