As a senior, she has plenty of experience reading what is happening on the other side of the net. Rice is always moving and ready for the next ball. She picks up on hitter tendencies and uses those reads to get herself into position early. Because of that, she can anticipate attacks before they fully develop. Then comes the fun part. Rice can make difficult shots look much easier than they are. She gets underneath tough balls and works to keep them playable for her team. Even when the attack comes with pace or lands in an awkward spot, she finds a way to keep the ball in system. That combination of anticipation and reaction makes Rice a defender to know. Keep her on the radar as she continues making an impact for Alamosa.

[player_tooltip player_id='759481' first='Bailey' last='Ferguson']: Young and Confident

[player_tooltip player_id='759481' first='Bailey' last='Ferguson'] is a 2029 libero who is already showing plenty of confidence in the back row. There is still a lot of room for her game to grow, but the foundation is certainly there. Ferguson does not look rushed when the attack comes her way. Instead, she reads the hitter and gets her platform into a strong position. Her ability to anticipate gives her a chance to handle attacks with control. For Sterling, that consistency matters. Ferguson works to keep the ball on her side of the court and give her team a playable first contact. She is already showing the instincts of a defender who can make an impact, while her continued development makes her an exciting young name to follow.

[player_tooltip player_id='1007936' first='Sienna' last='Chu']: Calm Under Pressure

[player_tooltip player_id='1007936' first='Sienna' last='Chu'] brings a disciplined approach to the back court. The 2028 libero has shown that she can make an impact from anywhere in the defensive rotation. Her understanding of angles is a big part of what makes her effective. Chu reacts quickly, but she does not panic. Instead, she stays calm through the play and gives herself time to make a controlled pass. That composure can make a major difference when an attack comes quickly. Her platform work and court awareness help create quality first contacts. As a result, Chu can give her setter more options instead of forcing a scramble. She brings consistency, discipline, and a steady presence to the back row. She stays still, watches the hitter, and actively reads what is developing in front of her. Rather than making a quick decision just to make a play, she waits for the right moment. That patience carries into serve receive, too. Beasley works with a controlled platform and makes difficult defensive moments look routine. There is plenty of time for her game to develop, but the early signs are exciting. For now, she is a young name to know.
