Class of 2030: Young Standouts Making Their Mark

The Class of 2030 is already making an impact statewide. From pin hitters powering their teams' attacks to setters, defenders, and versatile players stepping into key roles, these young athletes show skill, composure, and plenty of potential. Here are some of the 2030s making their mark this season.

Sophia is putting together a strong first season as a pin hitter for the Bulldogs. She's already one of the team's top contributors, with 180 kills and 201 digs. A smart, well-rounded player with a high volleyball IQ, Sophia reads the game well on defense and moves confidently in the passing lanes. She's also a thoughtful attacker who reads the block and uses it to find scoring opportunities.

At 6'1”, Julia gives the undefeated Crusaders a powerful presence on the left pin. She can also set when needed, but her height, long reach and high contact point make her a challenging hitter to defend. Julia brings a big approach and a strong swing, and she uses the line shot effectively to keep blockers guessing. She's been an important part of Helias' success this season.

Landri stepped into a demanding role after a standout setter graduated and has handled the opportunity with poise and intelligence. She runs a quick offense, delivers strong, hittable balls to the pins, and knows when to take advantage of an opening herself. She's also closing in on 1,000 assists in her first season, fewer than 200 away. Landri contributes on defense, too, but her steady work at setter is a major reason Marshfield is tough to beat.

Roma has made an immediate impact for Parkway North with her smooth setting and reliable hands. She's nearing 500 assists this season and has twice recorded a career-high 37 assists. Roma creates opportunities for her hitters and helps the offense find its rhythm.

Blakely is helping Benton run a smooth, balanced offense in her first season as a setter. She has 445 assists and 240 digs, showing she contributes on both ends of the court. Her sets give hitters confidence to attack, and she's steady on defense. In Benton's 3–2 win over rival Bishop LeBlond, Blakely delivered 42 assists and 14 digs for her second double-double of the season.

Reese is a defensive standout to watch as she continues to develop at North Point. The Grizzlies' defensive specialist has a strong passing platform, reads hitters well, and quickly closes gaps to keep the ball in play. Her quickness and relentless effort make her a valuable presence in the back row. With Reese helping lead the defense, North Point has a strong foundation in first contact for the seasons ahead.

Kyleigh is still developing, but she has the potential to grow into a strong middle or opposite. With experienced seniors leading the way, her opportunities have been limited, but she's shown she can contribute when called on. Halley recorded a season-high five kills and hit .667 in a 3–1 win over Ellington—an encouraging glimpse of what she can bring in the seasons ahead. Halley also has a long family legacy at Leopold, adding another meaningful connection to the program.

Kinley is having a standout season for the Zizzers and has played a key role in the team's success. At 5'11”, she gives West Plains a strong option on the right pin and can also be effective attacking from the middle. Her length and fearless approach make her difficult to defend, and those qualities should continue to serve her well as she develops with the Zizzers.
