It was the place to be for any top ranked team from all corners and all divisions in the state.

There is no tougher environment to be than the one here. To make it out alive, you had to take down some heavyweights. While these athletes and their teams didn't make the cut in pool play, doesn't take away from how they were able to make an impression on Saturday. This is where the best come to play, there is no game off.

In this part, we're looking at Pool D through Pool H and the standouts within them. These were the pools with the top 4 through 8 seeds in the tournament, so the challenge was even tougher. Let's take a look at the best of the best.

[player_tooltip player_id='885464' first='Charlotte' last='Keyes'] - Saline

The Hornets really live and die by the play of their middles. And when you have a middle like [player_tooltip player_id='885464' first='Charlotte' last='Keyes'], there is no question as to why. At 6'3, Keyes is a dominant force at the net. From her block defense to her incredibly growing range on offense, Keyes is the KEY.

[player_tooltip player_id='839825' first='Camille' last='Robinson'] - Harper Creek

Just feed her the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='839825' first='Camille' last='Robinson'] is one of those players that just gets better with the increased opportunity. Whether she is swinging in the front row or flying from the back row, Robinson can deliver a thunderous kill more times than not. Robinson is a well known offensive power, but is showing a lot of improvement in her back court play as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='777145' first='Andersyn' last='King'] - Harper Creek

[player_tooltip player_id='777145' first='Andersyn' last='King'] at the setting position can really change the outcomes of the match for Harper Creek. When you have a player with the IQ like King, it makes the difference. While one may think of her offense as one dimensional with much of the production coming out of Robinson, one has to appreciate King's ability to get the most out of her senior ace and utilizing her in multiple ways on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1009093' first='Hadley' last='Conrad'] - Northville

It's not everyday that you're out your first and second options in the libero jersey and your third option puts on the kind of performance like this. That's how deep, and strong, Northville is at the DS/L position. [player_tooltip player_id='1009093' first='Hadley' last='Conrad'] had to step into a major role at one of the biggest tournaments of the year and delivered. From her reception to her defense and out of system setting, Conrad was making the big plays and held her own.

[player_tooltip player_id='587016' first='Lillian' last='Bowman'] - Plymouth Christian

When you have this kind of athlete on the outside, there is an extra layer of security when you step onto the court. [player_tooltip player_id='587016' first='Lillian' last='Bowman'] was a crucial piece for PCA on Saturday. Being one of the few small schools in the tournament, Bowman was able to hang with the best of the field. She found herself in many compromising situations that she was able to better the play, if not find a way to score.

[player_tooltip player_id='890647' first='Madi' last='Lund'] - Plymouth Christian

This is a middle blocker that is evolving with every time she steps onto the court and this may have been the best we've seen of her. Lund was playing with a composure and confidence that PCA was able to capitalize on in tough moments. Whether she was getting the touches at the net or finishing the point, Lund did quite the job at Beast of the East.

Brenna McMaster - Trenton

Trenton was able to hang in tough against the compeition largely due to the play of Brenna McMaster. This is now a veteran player on the court that can bring a lot of stability from an attacking and ball control stand point. McMaster was taking nice swings on the pins.

Noelle Hughes - Trenton

Alongside McMaster, yoou have this high flyer in Noelle Hughes. This is a player that can make some jaw dropping swings on the court. Whether she is in the middle, out on the pins, wherever it is, Hughes has a cannon on her.

[player_tooltip player_id='776808' first='Brynn' last='Johnson'] - Marshall

[player_tooltip player_id='776808' first='Brynn' last='Johnson'] has been putting up some serious numbers from the very jump last year as a freshman. Getting to see her live at Michigan Elite, there is no denying any of it. This Red Hawk squad moves and grooves as Johnson does. She is the driving force for Marshall, taking a huge load in the entire game, offensively, defensively and in reception as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='895702' first='Iceiss' last='Morrison'] - Dakota

Dakota is a team that really thrives on its defensive prowess. They can outdefend the best of them, but when you're looking for a point, you gotta gun for [player_tooltip player_id='895702' first='Iceiss' last='Morrison'] on the pins. This is a player that can make some electric plays at the net. Despite her inspiring play, one has to point out, she still has a lot left in the tank than what she shows, which is scary to think of as an opponent.

https://www.tiktok.com/@lshotvb/video/7698781635654733070?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=7621309005139035661
