Panhandle 4A Heavy Hitters

I was fortunate enough to spend some time in the panhandle this past week and catch some great talent in district 4-4A. In my time there I saw some game changing hitters that are absolutely carrying their teams offensively. These hitters bring competitive play, aggressive swings, and all out hustle to the game. Here are a few heavy hitters from the Panhandle, no doubt there will be more to see as the season progresses.

2027 Hitters

Senior outside hitter, [player_tooltip player_id='845093' first='Teagan' last='Thomas'], is the go to scoring option for Hereford High. Her IQ and court awareness shine bright throughout every match as she is able to compete with anyone across the net. She is very selective with her shots, knowing when to swing hard and when to catch the defense off balance with a roll shot or tip to open zones. Teagan also brings versatile serving to the game, able to intentionally float, top spin, or drop the ball over the net, she is anything but predictable. Her aggressive and confident play keeps her at the head of the offense and drives her teammates to match her energy point after point.

[player_tooltip player_id='821932' first='Teagan' last='Hudson'], a senior outside hitter for a young West Plains High School. Only in it's fourth year as a campus, West Plains is making their name known on the court with Hudson leading the offense. With 364 kills this far in the season, she has made it clear she is not afraid to swing and will find a way to put the ball down for her team. Defensively, Teagan puts up a strong fight with impressive footwork and digs that match her scoring ability. Pushing her team from every angle and being a constant option, leaves opponents catching no breaks from this West Plains offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='845095' first='Laney' last='Jones'], senior 6 rotation outside hitter for Canyon High School with a dominating swing, serve, and influence on the court. As a veteran on this Canyon team, Laney brings the energy and IQ needed to be an efficient 6 rotation player. She is not afraid to swing from anywhere on the court and is decisive with the ball. Her ability to serve and lead from the backrow level up her play and keeps the pressure on opponents across the net. As the season continues [player_tooltip player_id='845095' first='Laney' last='Jones'] is absolutely an offensive threat to plan for.

2029 Hitters

Chloe Brown, a solid outside hitter for Randall High School this season. A smart player with intentional delivery at the net. She brings a big swing to the game and utilizes her athleticism and size to get around any block in front of her. Her comfort at the pin is on full display throughout matches and she finds the best angles and corners to put the ball for easy scoring. Going into the second round of district play, Chloe is sure to be at the front of Randall's offense.

Klair Stone, a sophomore outside hitter for Canyon High School, who is prepared to make a big impact on the court. Playing her second year at the varsity level, she is confident in her ability to compete. Swinging big and swing hard to end rallies and keep defenders on their toes. Maintaining control and keeping poise throughout play, makes a well trained option in close play, and showcases her ability to do her job consistently. With a strong and confident option like Klair on the court, Canyon High Volleyball is not a team to take lightly.
