Player of the Year Watch for Division 2

S/RS Parma Western</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Panthers are racking up the wins this year and the emergence of Addleman is a big reason why. A 6-footer that can play setter or the right side, she brings a lot of flexibility to the Western offense. As an attacker, Addleman is one of the most powerful left-handed hitters in the state and she's going to continue to take the Panthers far.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='920480' first='Victoria' last='Burnham'], Sr. DS/L Lutheran North</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Burnham is a senior leader in the back row that is the glue for Lutheran North. With a balanced offense, Burnham's play has allowed the Mustangs to rack up the wins by keeping the offense in-system. She's had some outstanding games this season and is approaching 250 digs on the year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='888384' first='Allysse' last='Deshetsky'], So. OH North Branch</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It should be no surprise to see another Deshetsky in the mix for Player of the Year. North Branch has been blessed with outstanding players in this family and Allysse is really stepping up in 2026. She's over 300 kills and 200 digs on the year while taking on a lot of leadership qualities.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='850401' first='Avery' last='Geer'], So. RS/S Frankenmuth</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Frankenmuth is a team that has a lot of capable players, but Geer looks to be the one putting all the pieces together with some great setting, some impressive attacks, and a lot of energy on the court. Geer is very light on her feet and plays with a lot of determination that has translated into some big wins in 2026.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442982' first='Grace' last='Goodyke'], Sr. OH GR Christian</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Eagles have been looking very strong in 2026 and Goodyke has been the driving force of the offense for years, earning a spot among the Miss Volleyball finalists. She's consistently one of the strongest arms at the net in D2 while improving each year in her defensive play. She's got GRC eying up another state title run.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='776808' first='Brynn' last='Johnson'], So. OH Marshall</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Johnson was one of the most productive freshman in the nation last fall and she continues to put up impressive stats this season for the Redhawks. This fall, Johnson is hitting .325 with over 260 kills and is inching toward 1,000 for her career already. She's also a major defensive contributor with over 200 digs on the season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='825043' first='Ella' last='Laskowski'], Sr. OH Edwardsburg</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Laskowski has looked great this season and has the Eddies right in the mix among top Division 2 teams. The 6-foot outside has a polished all-around game and can put the ball away from the back row just as easily as she does at the net. Defensively, Laskowski can come through with a game-changing dig as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='833201' first='Jenna' last='Middleton'], Sr. OH Kingsley</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Moving up to D2 hasn't slowed down Kingsley this year. Middleton was our D3 Player of the Year in 2025 and is making a case for earning the D2 honor thus far in 2026. She just recently surpassed 2,000 career kills and took over the school's all-time kills record. Middleton just knows how to put the ball away and can put this team on her back.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='761443' first='Meg' last='Schreur'], Jr. DS/L South Christian</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Sailors have a lot of players leading the way to a strong year, but the play of this junior libero deserves its recognition. She's among the state leader in digs with over 265 on the year, averaging nearly five per set this season. Her consistently in the back row is allowing South Christian to get the ball to their athletic hitters.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='574175' first='Payton' last='Woodruff'], Jr. S Country Day</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Woodruff is no stranger to being in the POY mix after helping the Yellowjackets to two states titles in her first two years of varsity play. This season, Woodruff has had to break in new primary outsides, but still has DCD as a top title contender in D2. Each year her play just continues to impress.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Other Players In the Mix</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Taylor DeKuiper, Sr. MH Fremont; [player_tooltip player_id='839917' first='Sarah' last='Giroux'], Sr. OH Flat Rock; [player_tooltip player_id='885461' first='Riley' last='Harrah'], So. OH Tecumseh; Hallie Johnson, Sr. S Yale; [player_tooltip player_id='454366' first='Jordyn' last='Jones'], Sr. OH Richmond; [player_tooltip player_id='888979' first='Mia' last='Keefer'], Fr.
