However, some seniors have been steady contributors on their teams since either their freshman or sophomore seasons. These are players who have shown tremendous skill and can play at the next level.
Olivia Zimmerman – OH/RS – Liberty North High School
This pin hitter has been in the line up since her freshman season for Liberty North. She doesn’t put up the biggest numbers, but you must bring something to the table to play in 187 sets in three years. Her most productive season from a statistical standpoint would be her sophomore season. In 2018, she had 122 kills and 90 digs. She is also a three-time academic all-state honoree.
Rachel Spainhour – MH – Liberty North High School
Our second Liberty North Eagle on our list is Rachel Spainhour. Like Zimmerman, Spainhour has been on the court since her first year at North. She has played in 210 sets for the Blue and Gold. She also had a strong sophomore season with 117 kills and 31 digs. She has played in the middle and was a strong tandem with 2020 graduate Taylor Gates the last couple of seasons.
Bailey Willis Bailey Willis DS/L Lee's Summit North | 2021 MO – L/DS – Lee’s Summit North High School
Willis has been steady for the Broncos since her sophomore season. Over her first two years of varsity action, she has played in 123 sets. She has been solid over this span with over 500 digs and receptions. She displays good court awareness and has a quick first step. With a strong senior season, she could reach 1000 digs.
Jacquelyn Elliott – S – Raymore Peculiar High School
2018 was Elliott’s first major season of varsity action for Ray-Pec. In her sophomore season, she dissed out over 400 assists. Her role shifted some last season but still managed to add 269 more. She will be depended on to provide leadership to a young team in 2020.
Hannah Joyce – S – Pleasant Hill High School
Joyce has been better than advertised in her first two seasons. She is averaging just under 10 assists a set in her career thus far and looks to end her time with a bang. Currently, she has 1577 assists and has her sights set on 2000. She arrived on the scene in her sophomore year in big fashion; 907 assists. She has quite a few weapons but her decision making is what makes her a big-time player.
