She had great hands as a setter, good touch setting dimes to her team! She was hustling, a gamer on the court. She defended well at her position on defense and played with a joy that encouraged others as well. She was confident and you could see and hear her praise for teammates, whether it was a great play or a mistake by a player. She received the Avoli Committed Athlete Award at the event!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Opperman was what you want to see out of a volleyball player. Having fun but giving it her all and producing on the court. She was cheering and encouraging her teammates on great plays and even on mistakes. Positive attitude which made her a great teammate on the court. All this while competing on a very competitive court at the IL freshman showcase. Type of player you want on your team. Not only was she skilled at that setter position, but played with joy, grit, and made teammates around her better. That is what the Avoli Award is about. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
