Zoie Burgess Zoie Burgess 5'4" | DS/L CO is building a really strong foundation as a young libero. She plays with awareness and is always ready to spring into action when a ball comes her way. More importantly, Zoie understands that keeping the ball playable is sometimes the best decision. When a tough ball comes her direction, she works to get it high and give her teammates time to make the next play. That same mindset carries into serve receive. If she recognizes a hard-driven serve, Zoie does not try to do too much. Instead, she focuses on getting the ball up and keeping the play alive. That kind of decision-making is exciting at this age. Zoie is already showing that she understands how her first contact can help the entire team.
