Some players enter a high-school season hoping to introduce themselves.

Others arrive with opponents already building game plans around them.

Georgia's returning talent includes nationally recognized attackers, championship setters, future Division I athletes and front-row players capable of controlling an entire match. Their roles may look different, but each will carry significant expectations when the fall season begins.

The following six athletes have already produced against strong competition. The next question is how they will respond when increased attention, larger responsibilities and another year of expectations arrive with them.

Caelyn enters her senior season as a 6-foot-3 six-rotation pin with the ability to carry a significant offensive workload. Her 2025 performances included a 12-kill outing in two sets against Parkview and several two-set matches in which she reached nine or ten kills. Prep Dig evaluations have also highlighted her length, efficient transition movement, composure and ability to adjust her attacking choices against organized blocks. A5 announced her commitment to Clemson in September 2025.

Shiloh will need more than occasional production from Caelyn. As a senior and primary attacker, she will be asked to score when opponents know the ball is coming her way, stabilize the team through difficult stretches and contribute from the back row. Her physical profile attracts attention, but her ability to remain composed and make intelligent adjustments is what could make her one of the most influential seniors in Georgia. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Janie enters the fall carrying the confidence of a championship setter. The 6-foot-1 Walton standout was named MVP of the 2025 Class 6A state final after recording 32 assists and 11 digs in the Raiders' victory over Alpharetta. Earlier in the postseason, she delivered 48 assists in a five-set win over North Forsyth and followed with 33 assists during a sweep of Buford. She is currently ranked No. 5 in Georgia's 2028 class.

Her next challenge is maintaining that command when every opponent understands what Walton's offense can do. Janie must continue locating through difficult first contacts, changing tempo and recognizing when to involve different attackers. Her right-side background also creates opportunities to attack, block and remain physically involved in the front row. She has already shown that she can direct an offense under championship pressure; this season will test how much more she can add. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Chelsea enters the season as one of Georgia's highest-ranked setters and a recent University of Georgia commit. The 6-foot setter and opposite currently sits at No. 2 in the state's 2028 rankings. Her 2025 postseason showed her ability to maintain offensive production in different match situations, including stretches of five or six assists per set while guiding East Forsyth through region and state competition.

Chelsea's value comes from the number of ways she can influence a rotation. Her size allows her to provide a legitimate blocking presence, while her front-row experience gives defenses another option to respect. The biggest storyline will be how consistently she controls tempo and location while keeping East Forsyth's offense balanced. Setters who can make several hitters dangerous are difficult to game-plan against, and Chelsea has the tools to create that type of pressure. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Leilani gives Alpharetta a 6-foot-3 pin capable of scoring from either antenna. She finished the 2025 season with 322 kills and helped the Raiders reach the Class 6A state championship match. Her postseason included a 12-kill performance against Marietta in which she hit .800 and another 12-kill outing against West Forsyth while hitting .526. She currently holds the No. 3 position in Prep Dig's Georgia 2028 rankings.

The next stage of Leilani's development will involve turning her size and offensive range into consistent control across entire matches. Alpharetta will need her to score after long rallies, manage difficult blocking matchups and remain reliable through serve receive. When she stays balanced and reaches the ball on time, her height and contact point give her the ability to attack over and around blocks that limit many other young pins. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Kari enters the season as one of the most recognizable young players in the country. The 6-foot-3 outside hitter recorded 631 kills, 221 digs and 84 aces while leading Lovett to a 42-3 record and the Private School state championship. Her performance earned her both Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year and MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year recognition. She has also represented USA Volleyball at the U17 and U19 levels, giving her experience against athletes several years older.

What makes Kari especially important to watch is how complete her responsibility has already become. Opponents will serve her, commit blockers toward her and attempt to remove her from comfortable attacking situations. Her ability to remain effective in serve receive, create offense from imperfect sets and continue competing through concentrated defensive attention could determine how high her sophomore season rises. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Kari, Leilani, Chelsea, Janie, Caelyn and Cora will not enter the season unnoticed.

Their rankings, statistics, championships and college interest have already established them as athletes opponents must prepare for. The real test will be how they perform after teams adjust their serving plans, blocking assignments and defensive systems specifically to slow them down.

Top performers do more than repeat the numbers from the previous season. They find new ways to affect matches when their original advantages are challenged.

That is what makes these six essential viewing this fall.

Subscribe to Prep Dig+ for complete Georgia rankings, expanded player profiles, recruiting insight and continued coverage of the established stars and emerging athletes shaping the 2026 high-school season.

Note to GA Athletes:

If you'd like to be considered for future coverage, please send me your high school season schedule and share a little bit about yourself so I can come support you and share your story.
