New And Improved 2028 Rankings Released Tomorrow: What To Expect

Now, we move on to the rising junior class, which has 20+ committed athletes of their own. Here's what you can expect from us this week.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rankings are adjusted for “college readiness”, not opinionated “talent”.</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>How do we know that the recruits are college ready? If there's a commitment attached to the athlete, that athlete moves up the rankings. Remember, this is not a list of how “good” everyone is, but how “college ready” each athlete is. Beyond that, knowing that some kids attended college summer camps, trained with the NTDP and otherwise saw significant improvement on their respective club squads helps each and every kid in this process. Want to move up? Do something that catches the college recruiting eye.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">What articles are coming out this week?</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We have dated articles that talk about new (to us) additions to the rankings, stock risers, and full positional breakdowns in the class of ‘28. Each and every article talks about five athletes from five different clubs from around the state, and what impact—-if any—-they've had on their respective recruiting journeys. Are we missing someone? Shoot us an email, and we can ensure getting on the list. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">What about incorrect information?</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>If there's a height, position, club, high school or otherwise other error that we missed, you can go in yourself and edit your athlete's profile at any time. We also accept emails that profess to that fact. Any time you can help, we greatly appreciate it. That being said, however, editing and improving your own profile does not guarantee coverage, but it certainly helps. Be mindful, however, that just because your club team was awesome does not mean that the sum of the parts should get deference over someone else. Some of the input we receive is also from showcase coaches, college coaches who subscribe and the general volleyball community who know what and why we do what we do.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Be nice.</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I realize that this goes without saying, but each and every week, I get emails from parents that are, shall we say, “not in agreement” with what we write about and rank accordingly. Remember, this is an opinion piece meant for entertainment purposes, and it's about the kids. Let's keep it civil in the chat, so to speak, because at the end of the day, we're all adults here.
