Avoli Committed Athlete: Georgia Freshman Stock Up Showcase

What caught my attention was the intent behind her repetitions. She stayed ready to attack, worked to get herself back into transition and continued looking for ways to contribute even when the rally developed somewhere else on the court. With outside hitters, it is easy to focus only on the swing, but Yhan showed the willingness to keep working before and after that contact. That effort matters, especially in a showcase setting where athletes are constantly adjusting to different setters, teammates and rhythms.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There was also a confidence in the way Yhan approached opportunities that gave her game personality. She did not need every situation to be perfectly comfortable before competing. She stayed engaged, continued taking her chances and worked through the natural adjustments that come with playing beside unfamiliar athletes. For a young pin, that combination of competitiveness and willingness to keep working is something worth building around.
