Usually, when teams run a 5-1, you expect their setter to be super tall and a lefty, but not Gabby. Although she’s not the tallest or a lefty, she makes it very clear why she runs a 5-1. First of all, Quick is a very well fitting last name with how she’s able to not only get to every ball, but also how she’s able to get her hands on every ball. Not only does she have amazing hands, but her court awareness and IQ are on a whole other level. She does an extraordinary job reading her opponents’ defense and making the best play for her team. My favorite thing about Quick is the sneaky little setter dump that she takes that somehow always finds the floor.
