Iowa
Katherine Kouba – Iowa City West – Iowa Rockets
Class of 2022
Kouba is a scrappy libero who plays for Iowa Rockets, one of the top clubs out of Iowa. A Junior at Iowa City West, Kouba is solid in serve receive and knows how to take pace off a hard-driven ball. She has a calm demeanor on the court with little wasted motion, a solid prospect at the next level.
Elise Mehaffy Elise Mehaffy 5'8" | S Marion | 2022 State IA – Marion – Iowa Rockets
Class of 2022
Super smooth! Mehaffy is Kouba’s club teammate and the duo make a solid 1-2 contact for their squad. Mehaffy was a starting setter for Marion High who advanced to the final four of Iowa’s second-largest class (Class 4A). She’s a setter who can also swing, an all-around player who can find a spot to play anywhere on the court. Great intangibles as well!
Emma Schubert Emma Schubert OH Assumption | 2021 State IA of @iowaselectvbc always solid in serve reserve and on the pin. pic.twitter.com/jUgHNKTZ2Z

Emma Schubert Emma Schubert OH Assumption | 2021 State IA – Davenport Assumption – Iowa Select
Class of 2021
Schubert is part of an uber deep pool of Class of 2021 outsides in Iowa. I’ve always described her style as a violent arm swing and approach, she is so fast to the ball! A six rotation outside who can swing anywhere and score points is always welcome at the next level. She is definitely a gem that will be fun to see blend with other top athletes in Wisconsin!
Ava Schubert Ava Schubert 6'1" | RS Assumption | 2023 State #153 Nation IA – Davenport Assumption – Iowa Select (Title Photo)
Just a thunderous swing. Schubert was the MAC Player of the Year which is comprised of the big schools in the Quad Cities area as a Freshman. She is also the sister to Emma Schubert Emma Schubert OH Assumption | 2021 State IA . A six rotation, left handed right side who can play and score in six rotations.
Minnesota
Minnesota Volleyball Academy will be bringing three talented athletes in Madison Gully Madison Gully 5'9" | OH St. Francis | 2021 State MN (2021), Jackie Yang Jackie Yang 5'4" | DS/L Johnson | 2022 State MN (2022), and Makenzie Coplan Makenzie Coplan 5'10" | OH Cambridge-Isanti | 2022 State MN (2021). These athletes have played together for years and have solid fundamental training from their coach Quang Vo out of the North St. Paul/Blaine area. Gully and Coplan are outside hitters who have such a heavy swing and know how to serve receive and pass against high level competition. Yang comes from the Class of 2022 and has always played up an age level. She’s quick, anticipates well, and always rises when the stakes are high.
Illinois
Sylvia Hasz Sylvia Hasz 6'1" | S Rochelle | 2022 IL – Rochelle Township – VC United
Class of 2022
Hasz knows how to play at a high level, being part of VC United’s 161 Elite squad who won the JVA Showcase in the Dells right before Quarantine. As a 6’1 setter she is a force at the net with her block and can attack when the opportunity presents itself. She has demonstrated she can set every tempo in front and behind while keeping up with a fast paced offense. The Class of 2022 attackers will enjoy working with Hasz.
Julianna Rettig – Antioch – Sky High
Class of 2023
A major passion for the game, Rettig is a Class of 2023 libero that has exhibited a strong work ethic as well as a relaxed platform, the ability to serve receive, as well as possess the intangibles that all liberos need. She was one who jumped on the radar at the Wisconsin Top 250 in December of 2019 and has been rising ever since!
Caitlyn Rochon – Lincoln Way Central – Uno
Class of 2022
Rochon is extremely well rounded with her skill set as a dynamic setter, but has also shown that she can swing from either pin. She can jump set, jump set to attack, or make the defensive play when needed. She is also carrying over a 4.3 GPA and could be a major prospect for the high academic route as well.
