Every team needs players who understand their role and know how to make an impact within it.

This group of 3A standouts does exactly that. From putting up big offensive numbers to controlling the flow of an offense, dominating the middle, and holding down the back row, these athletes are excelling in very different ways.

They may play different positions, but each one is making their spot on the court count.

Let's take a look at five 3A players to know!

Jordyn Fox, Outside Hitter

Fox is putting together an impressive season from the outside. She has a high reach and a nice jump, but her swing speed might be one of the most difficult parts of her game for defenses to handle. The ball gets off her hand quickly, which gives defenders less time to react and adjust. Additionally, Fox does not rely on simply overpowering the ball. She is comfortable using the block and understands how to handle tight situations. Whether she is working the ball around hands or putting it down with authority, she continues finding ways to score. Her numbers back up the production. Fox is currently averaging 4.3 kills per set with a .327 hitting percentage, which is an impressive combination for an outside hitter carrying a consistent offensive role. She has been producing all season long, and Fox is certainly owning her spot.

Sydney Corr, Setter

Corr is becoming a player more people need to know. She has already recorded 129 assists this season and continues to do a nice job leading her offense. What stands out is her willingness to make decisions based on what the play gives her. She can stay with the natural flow of the offense when it is working, but she also knows when it is time to reverse the ball and keep blockers guessing. That ability to change the look of an offense is important. Corr is not simply putting the ball in the same place every rally. Instead, she is learning how to read what is happening in front of her and make adjustments. As the season continues, her confidence has continued to grow. She looks more comfortable taking control of the offense, and that development has been fun to watch.

Paige Michaelson, Outside Hitter/Rightside

Michaelson is putting together a strong all-around stat line this season. She currently has 50 kills while averaging 3.6 kills per set. On top of her offensive production, she has also contributed two digs per set, showing that she is making an impact beyond just the front row. Michaelson plays with a steady presence and does a nice job staying involved throughout the match. She transitions well, stays available for the next opportunity, and brings consistency to both sides of the ball. Her ability to contribute offensively while still taking care of responsibilities in the back row gives her team another dependable option. The combination of 3.6 kills and two digs per set is a great stat line, especially for a player who continues finding ways to impact the match in multiple areas.

Aubrie Renn, Middle Hitter

At 6'1, Renn brings plenty of size to the middle, and she is using it well. She has been an extremely consistent offensive option for her team, recording 54 kills with an impressive .500 hitting percentage. That level of efficiency stands out and shows her ability to make the most of the opportunities she gets. However, Renn's impact is not limited to attacking. She takes up space at the net and makes opposing offenses work around her block. Her 16 solo blocks this season show just how often she is able to get herself into position and make a play. A middle who can produce efficiently while also creating problems defensively is incredibly valuable. Renn is off to a strong start, and there is plenty to be excited about as she continues to grow.

Al Hernandez, Defensive Specialist

Hernandez is holding things down in the back row. With 70 digs and an average of 4.4 digs per set, she has already been a major defensive presence for her team this season. Those numbers come from consistency, movement, and being ready to make the next play. Back-row players often do the work that keeps everything moving. A big dig can change the momentum of a rally, extend a point, and give the offense another opportunity to score. Hernandez has continued to provide that reliability for her team. She is proving how valuable a strong defensive presence can be. With the season still underway, Hernandez is another 3A player worth keeping on the radar.
