Ten Miss Volleyball Finalists Announced

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This past weekend, the 10 finalists for the <strong>2026 Miss Volleyball Award</strong> were announced.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We knew it would be a strong group of finalists, and that certainly has turned out to be the case.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This award is handed out annually to the senior that has excelled on-and-off the volleyball floor throughout her prep career. It is the top individual honor one can receive in Michigan high school volleyball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here's a closer look at each of the 10. The finalists are listed in alphabetical order.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442982' first='Grace' last='Goodyke'], OH Grand Rapids Christian</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Goodyke is a Dayton commit. She's been the focal point of the GRC offense since she was a freshman and has been a three-time All-State selection in Division 2 while helping the Eagles reach the state semifinals as a freshman and a junior. Goodyke is nearing 1,300 kills in her career to go with over 300 digs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='454351' first='Mallory' last='Johnson'], OH/DS Byron Center</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Johnson is committed to Nebraska, and she is one of the top defensive prospects in the state while being a six-rotation outside for the Bulldogs. A three-time All-State selection in D1, Johnson helped Byron Center to the state semifinals last year. She has over 1,500 digs and nearly 200 aces in her career.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442987' first='Kate' last='Kalczynski'], OH Mercy</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A Penn State commit, Kalczynski has led the Marlins to two state championships in her prep career, being the primary six-rotation outside for the program since she was a freshman. Kalczynski has been a three-time All-State selection in Division 1.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='454371' first='Riley' last='Loehfelm'], OH Forest Hills Northern</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A Villanova commit, Loehfelm helped the Huskies reach the Division 1 finals. She has was an All-State honoree in Division 1 last year. Loehfelm has over 1,000 kills in her career and has been one of the top hitters in the state for the last three years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442976' first='Cynthia' last='Ockerman'], MH Brighton</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ockerman is committed to Clemson. The 6'2” middle has been able to dominate the middle of the net, or the outside, in her time with the Bulldogs. She was an All-State selection in the 2025 season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='839825' first='Camille' last='Robinson'], OH Harper Creek</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An East Tennessee State commit, Robinson helped get her team to the Division 2 state semifinals as a sophomore. Robinson has been an All-State selection the last two seasons and she has over 1,250 kills, 670 digs, and 110 blocks in her prep career.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442995' first='Marlie' last='Smith'], S Clarkston</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A North Carolina commit, Smith has been a key piece to Clarkston's offense since she was a freshman. She is a three-time All-State selection in D1 and helped the Wolves to a state semifinal appearance as a freshman. Smith has over 2,100 career assists, nearly 800 digs, and over 560 kills.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='436889' first='Sophia' last='Smith'], RS Marian</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A Boston College commit, Smith has been one of the most impactful right sides in the country. An All-State selection last season as a senior, Smith is nearing 1,000 career kills, while compiling over 750 digs and nearly 250 blocks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='467901' first='Mallory' last='Wandel'], OH Rockford</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A do-everything senior for Rockford that is battling an injury, this Michigan State commit has been one of the most productive players in the state the last three years. She guided to the Rams to back-to-back trips to Kellogg Arena the last two years while earning All-State honors. She's had over 1,500 career kills with over 650 digs and nearly 150 blocks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='462086' first='Mallory' last='Woiteshek'], OH Grand Haven</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another Michigan State commit, the 6'3” Woiteshek has been one of the most powerful hitters in the state. She has earned All-State honors each of the first three years of her prep career, tallying over 1,500 kills, 160 aces, and 135 blocks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
