Expert Analysis
Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
This 2030 watch list is loaded with setters who can do a lot more than spread the ball around. Nelson has been an indispensable part of Wellsville’s two-setter offense, churning out 4.5 assists per set in her backcourt rotations. But the Eagles also receive a confident, tactful floor defender whenever Nelson enters the match. She makes high touches that open up plenty of time and space for Wellsville’s out-of-system offense to operate. These can be the small distinctions that make teams successful, and the Eagles’ 13-5 is a positive sign.
