Joveiry Gutierrez, a 2028 setter for Dumas High School, does the job of maintaining a quick and even tempo when she has the ball. She is decisive and quick to react to the play, keeping hitters running and defenders on their heels. Connecting well with her hitters, she takes the risks of running different options to keep opponents guessing. With a quick tempo, decisive play, and trusting hitters, Joveiry has all the tools to be a threat on the court as the season progresses.
