Exposure Tour Freshman Showcase: First Look
The PrepDig Exposure Tour is coming to Orange on Sunday, November 22, at ProPlay Volleyball Club.
This stop is built for one class: 2030. It is for freshmen who are just starting their high school careers and want to start their recruiting story on their own terms. You compete against your own class. You get evaluated by PrepDig scouts. You leave with verified athletic testing numbers that live on your PrepDig profile.
Three hours in the gym, and a baseline that keeps working for you long after the last scrimmage.
Register early. The sooner you are on the roster, the sooner I can learn about you, your game and what you want coaches to see before you ever step on the court. I can't wait to feature athletes such as: Gia Bella Ellis, Emma Martinez, Olena Harasymowycz, Ashlyn Zietz, Reese Pearsey, Xitlali Lopez, Avalon Mejia, Olivia Anorga, Makala Baker, Paloma Rodriguez, Mika Garaventa, Cameron Kavelaars-Eakins, Ella Davenport, Sasha Fiallo, Emma Gross, Madison Halonen, Sofia Gagunashvili
Why Start Now?
Freshman year is when the recruiting conversation quietly begins. Programs are not making decisions on 2030s yet, but they are building lists and paying attention to who is developing.
The athletes who start early are not the ones with the most hype. They are the ones with information: a baseline, an honest evaluation and a record of growth that a coach can follow over time.
That is what this event is built to give you.
Why Attend?
Coverage
Every athlete on the floor is a potential story. PrepDig scouts come prepared, evaluate honestly and cover as many prospects as possible. You can read more about how our scouts cover events.
For many of you, this will be your first independent evaluation. I am not looking for one highlight swing. I am watching for habits. How you communicate. How you respond after an error. What decisions you make when the rally gets messy. Those are the things college coaches ask me about, and freshman year is when those habits are still being built.
Coverage does not end when the gym closes. One showcase turns into multiple articles organized by position and storyline, so athletes get recognized in the lane where they fit best.
Competition
The format is built to put you in real volleyball situations, fast. After warm up and testing, athletes move into mini games and a competitive circuit, then finish with full scrimmages.
Every matchup stays inside the 2030 class. You are measured against the players you will be recruited alongside for the next four years.
Exposure
College coaches across the country use PrepDig to identify emerging talent. They attend events, read evaluations and stream games live on BallerTV.
For a 2030, this is about early visibility. It puts your name, your numbers and an honest evaluation in front of programs before the recruiting calendar starts to speed up.
Verified Athletic Testing
Universal Speed Rating (USR) will be on site to test every athlete in four areas:
- Vertical jump
- Broad jump
- 5+10 fly sprint
- 5-10-5 shuttle
These numbers translate to the court: explosiveness, first-step quickness and change-of-direction speed. Results post to your PrepDig profile and feed a national USR Leaderboard, so you can see how you compare to athletes at PrepDig showcases across the country, not just in Orange.
As a freshman, your first numbers carry extra value. Every future test gets measured against them. Retest at a future event and you have proof of growth that a coach can see in black and white.
Recruiting Insight
Most freshmen have a few clips and a club schedule. Fewer have verified testing data, an independent evaluation and a write-up a coach can read in two minutes. This event helps you start all three in one afternoon.

Your Event Director
Emily Foster is in her first year as head volleyball coach at Occidental College. Before that, she spent nine years as Head Coach and SWA at St. Olaf College in Minnesota, where she posted a 115-47 record and led the program to multiple at-large bids to the NCAA tournament.
She also coached 16s through 18s at Vital Volleyball Club, where her teams won tournaments and earned bids to nationals. Earlier stops include assistant roles at DII Northern State University and DII Minnesota State Mankato.
As a player, Foster was a setter at the University of St. Thomas. She was a four-time First Team All-MIAC selection, a three-time AVCA All-American and a two-time MIAC MVP, and she is now in the St. Thomas Hall of Fame. She holds an MA in Sports Psychology and a BS in Psychology from St. Thomas.
For a freshman event built around habits and mindset, that background fits.
