Harrison is through to the Class 7A state semifinals after sweeping North Paulding on Saturday. She scored repeatedly from the left against North Paulding and showed good control when the defense adjusted. She can drive the ball with pace, but she also recognizes when the block or back-row positioning calls for a softer solution. That shot variety keeps her from becoming predictable.

Her experience shows in the way she manages responsibility. Smith can handle a high-volume role without treating every swing like it has to end the rally immediately. She sees the block, uses available space and stays aggressive after defensive adjustments. She also continues to provide leadership through steadiness, giving Harrison a reliable pin when the offense needs a controlled solution. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Sydney brings length and strong developmental upside to the pin. Her size creates a good contact window, and she shows the ability to stay high through her swing rather than attacking underneath the ball. In the quarterfinal, she was also involved at the block, showing that her value extends to both sides of the net.

For a sophomore, Hardy demonstrates good composure and continues to become more complete in transition. She stays available after defensive responsibilities and gives Harrison another physical option away from its veteran attackers. As her shot selection and first-contact consistency continue to develop, she has the tools to become a strong all-around pin prospect. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Jessica brings physical presence and disciplined blocking to the middle. She stays patient as the opposing offense develops and works to close space rather than simply jumping with the setter. Against North Paulding, her work at the net helped Harrison change momentum during important stretches of the match.

Her consistency is a major asset. Chambers stays active even when she isn't getting offensive touches and understands that middle play is often about creating opportunities for teammates. She occupies blockers, transitions hard and remains engaged defensively. That willingness to impact rallies without needing the ball makes her a dependable two-way middle. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Olivia brings good offensive awareness to the right side and helps Harrison maintain balance across the net. She stays involved in transition and gives the setter another available option when opponents begin loading toward the left. Her positioning allows her to contribute without needing a high volume of sets to remain useful.

She also continues to develop the defensive side of the position. The right-side blocker is responsible for dealing with some of the opponent's highest-volume attackers, and Meek shows the awareness to stay disciplined in that matchup. Her ability to contribute in multiple phases gives Harrison useful lineup flexibility and gives her a solid foundation to continue building on. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Kathy brings good range and developing court command to Harrison's back row. She reads well off the block, stays active in pursuit and shows the platform discipline to turn defensive contacts into playable transition balls. Her movement is efficient, allowing her to cover space without constantly putting herself out of balance.

The sophomore continues to grow in the communication and organizational side of the position. Libero and defensive-specialist value is built on trust, and she gives Harrison a young back-row player capable of providing increasingly consistent first contact. With continued refinement in serve receive and seam control, she has the potential to develop into a strong defensive anchor. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Harrison's quarterfinal win showed a team that can absorb pressure and continue playing its game.

Smith gives the Hoyas experience and shot intelligence.
