<p><a href="http://kandielite.com/">Kandi Elite Volleyball Club</a> is a relatively young club having been competing for just a few years. With a draw of athletes primarily from the west central part of Minnesota, KEVC has found success in developing their athletes on the court and towards opportunities at the next level. Entering into the 2018 season, KEVC will field five teams overall. Their U18-U15 teams are highlighted below.</p>
<p>KEVC’s 18-1 team features a few of the areas best athletes. Leading the way is S/RS <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="9780" first="Abbey" last="Pederson"]</strong> (Canby HS), committed to South Dakota State University. Pederson was also selected as the 2017 Camden Conference south division MVP, to the Minnesota Class A all-state first team, and was named a Ms. Baden Volleyball finalist. Committed to the University of Northwester is setter<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="9731" first="Karly" last="Fehr"]</strong> (Morris HS), the West Central Conference 2017 MVP. <span style="font-family: Lato, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;">Northern State commit and Wright Count all-conference selection [player_tooltip player_id="9805" first="Kamryn" last="D’Heilly"] (Annandale HS) as well as </span><span style="font-size: 14px;">NDSCS commit and Wright County all-conference honorable mention selection </span><strong style="font-size: 14px;">[player_tooltip player_id="9803" first="Gabby" last="Hahn"]</strong><span style="font-size: 14px;"> (Hutchinson HS) will compete at the right side and outside hitter positions respectively. KEVC’s 18-1 team also features two Central Minnesota all-conference outside hitters in <strong>Ally Gruber</strong> (BBE HS; 1st team) and <strong>Skylar Bayer</strong> (Paynesville HS; 2nd team). <strong>Abby Volk</strong> (Willmar HS) and <strong>Liz Lansink</strong> (Hutchinson HS) will be holding down the middle blocker position. </span><span style="font-family: Lato, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;">Volk is a 2017 Central Lakes all-conference honorable mention selection. </span><span style="font-size: 14px;">Libero <strong>Mia Greenman</strong> (Canby HS), a Camden all-conference selection, will lead the defense.</span></p>
<p>Willmar High School is well represented on the KEVC 17-1 team in middles <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="29793" first="Grace" last="Marti"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="29801" first="Sydney" last="Olson"]</strong>, outside hitter <strong>Caitlin Ogdahl</strong>, and setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="29869" first="Carly" last="Wedel"]</strong>, a Central Lakes all-conference selection. Marti was named Central Lakes all-conference honorable mention in 2017. <strong>Kendra Hardy</strong> (Alexandria HS), another Central Lakes all-conference selection, will play opposite while MACCRAY’s <strong>Danni Burns</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="29876" first="Piper" last="Asche"]</strong> will play middle and defensive specialist respectively. Burns and Asche are both 2017 Camden all-conference honorable mention selections. Also competing for KEVC 17-1 are liberos [player_tooltip player_id="9947" first="Riley" last="Decker"] (Morris HS), the West Central Conferences Most Valuable Defender, and <strong>Avery Elferin</strong> (RCW HS) as well as outside hitter <strong>Morgan Cleveland</strong> (Canby HS) and setter/utility <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="9933" first="Makenna" last="Steffel"]</strong> (BOLD HS).</p>
<p>Leading the KEVC 16-1 team is libero <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="71945" first="Abby" last="Stark"]</strong>, a 2017 Camden all-conference member. She is joined by fellow Willmar HS teammate, middle blocker <strong>Reagan Bos</strong>. Bold High School’s <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="71671" first="Makayla" last="Snow"]</strong> is the 2017 West Central Conference’s Most Valuable Setter and will lead the offense. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="57490" first="Grace" last="Daak"]</strong> (Hutchinson HS) is also slated at middle. Playing the outside hitter position will be Camden all-conference selection <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="71686" first="Brooke" last="Nelson"]</strong> (Canby HS), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="58020" first="Elizabeth" last="Dille"]</strong> (Sartell HS), and Big South all-conference honorable mention <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="72098" first="Sydney" last="Sommers"]</strong> (Redwood Valley HS). Two right side hitters, <strong>Bella Gillman</strong> (Dassel-Cokato HS) and <strong>Lauren Wulf</strong> (RCW HS) and a defensive specialist,<strong> Sydney Isaacson</strong> (Dassel-Cokato HS), round out the roster.</p>
<p>Four Willmar HS athletes are slated to KEVC’s 15-1 team in libero <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="72082" first="Callie" last="Slagter"]</strong>, middle blocker <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="72094" first="Madelyn" last="Gregory"]</strong>, outside hitter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="29784" first="Bailey" last="Olson"]</strong>, and right side hitter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="72063" first="Sophie" last="Kobienia"]</strong>. NLS’s <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="72817" first="Lydia" last="Larson"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="30738" first="Ashlyn" last="Olson"]</strong> will compete at the setter and right side positions. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="71970" first="Aleah" last="Zieske"]</strong> (RCW HS) and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="72076" first="Carli" last="Vargason"]</strong> (Dassel-Cokato) will play at outside hitter while Canby’s <strong>Rachel Harding</strong> and <strong>Gabby Harding</strong> will compete at the setter and middle blocker position respectively.</p>
<p>Look for KEVC to represent the west central area of Minnesota well in 2018. All four teams will kick-off their competitive schedule at the Twin Cities’ Big City Luau the last weekend of January.</p>
