With the recently published Watch-List for the class of 2024, we are excited about the group of talented setters getting ready to takeover.

[player_tooltip player_id="107264" first="Stella" last="Swenson"] - This tall, accomplished setter from a well-known volleyball family has shown she has the skills to make her own way. She was a key part of Northern Lights 15-1 team. Her size and strength will help the Hopkins high school team to return to the top of the Lake Conference. Swenson enters her freshmen year as a returning all-conference player although this year will be different as her mom,Vicki Seliger-Swenson, and long time head coach resigned. Thankfully, she still has another Swenson there with her, sister [player_tooltip player_id="107898" first="Olivia" last="Swenson"]. The pair will be a driving force in the coming season with their technical and tactical ability. Adding to the young team is junior, [player_tooltip player_id="72768" first="Alexandra" last="Holmgren"].

[player_tooltip player_id="107551" first="Megan" last="Lund"] - This growing star has been playing among older athletes for the past few season. Despite being the youngest, and often smallest player, her precise setting has produced many wins. The returning Rochester Century Panther has been a fixture for the ever changing team. Lund competes at a high level and makes her teammates better. She is a skilled player with a strong understanding of the game and the confidence that comes with years of experience.

[player_tooltip player_id="117629" first="Anna" last="Lockhart"] - Another standout from the Lake conference, Minnetonka has been carefully grooming Lockhart to step into a leadership role. As an eight grader, she was member of the team who took 3rd in the state tournament. This year, she is likely to share offensive responsibilities with senior, [player_tooltip player_id="71957" first="Olivia" last="Koeppen"]. Anna has gained valuable experience at MN Select in the off season. We have watched her improve her accuracy and physicality. Her top-notch setting is accompanied by strong defense and consistent serving.

[player_tooltip player_id="107897" first="Macey" last="Spolidoro"] and [player_tooltip player_id="107910" first="Jadyn" last="Lester"] are both emerging as top recruits too. Although they haven’t yet had as much exposure, but we see the potential for greatness. Spolidoro is 5’8’’ setter out of East Ridge. She has strong fundamentals and the size to effectively run a 5-1 offense and attack if needed. A product of a strong volleyball family, she is set to have a breakout season. Lester is another who comes from a family full of coaches. So it makes sense that her hands are smooth and her feet are fast. She continues to grow and develop a high intensity for Rochester Mayo.

Although we will have to wait to see them with their high school teams, they maintain their dedication to advance this fall with lessons, practice and Fall leagues.
