Here are five 2nd Region stock risers from Week 1.
Hailey Hallmark: A middle hitter/outside hitter/right side hitter, Hallmark is a junior from Hopkinsville. Hallmark delivered 11 kills, 8 blocks, 2 assists, 5 digs and 2 service aces for Hopkinsville in its first two matches. A diverse hitter, Hallmark is able to produce regularly from either side.
Olivia Oakley: An outside hitter/right side hitter, Oakley is an eighth grader from University Heights Academy. Oakley excelled in University Heights Academy’s season opening shutout win over 8th District rival Hopkinsville, recording 3 kills, 7 digs and 7 service aces. The UHA eighth grader digs for quick attacks routinely and is agile.
Kaitlyn Orange: A middle hitter/outside hitter, Orange is a sophomore from Madisonville-North Hopkins. Orange has helped Madisonville-North Hopkins open the 2020 high school volleyball season 3-0. Through the Maroons’ first three matches, Orange has recorded 30 kills, 45 digs and 9 service aces. Orange is an athletic hitter.
Taylor Troutman Taylor Troutman OH Henderson County | 2024 State KY : A setter/right side hitter, Troutman is a junior from reigning 2nd Region champion Henderson County. Troutman has posted 23 kills, 15 blocks, 37 assists, 23 digs and 4 service aces through Henderson County’s first three matches. Versatile, Troutman is an accurate passer.
Riley Smith: A setter, Smith is a freshman from Crittenden County. Smith registered 69 assists, 7 kills, 9 digs and 7 service aces in Crittenden County’s first two matches. One of the most underrated players in the 2nd Region, Smith is a vocal leader who excels at her position.
