Uncommitted Players From the Houston Area

<p>We are back to turn our attention to all uncommitted players in all classes across the wonderful State of Texas.  We make our way to H-Town to recognize a few athletes who have not committed yet.  A lot of these players have been working hard during the shutdown and couldn’t wait to get back on the court to showcase their skills.  These young ladies are ready to become household names and take the recruiting world by storm. Below are a few more athletes that we have not written about yet.  Take note of their names as they are ready for the big stage. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="99557" first="Jordan" last="Rambo"] [2021] 5-8 Setter (HS: Kingwood/Club: TAV Houston/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <p>Miss Rambo is currently ranked as the 97^thtop prospect in the 2021 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a very polished setter who has excellent ball control.  She has been a starter for her Varsity program at Kingwood HS in North Houston. She showcases great skills in the position.  She has a very strong jump serve to keep the other team flustered.  I like how accurate her pin sets are from all areas of the court.  She constantly puts her pin attackers in the best position to score a point.  She moves the ball around well to keep the defense off-balance.  You can tell she is a very cerebral player who knows when to go against flow.  She is a great leader and can play at the next level if given an opportunity. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="99524" first="Annalise" last="Burbank"] [2022] 6-0 Middle (HS: Beaumont Kelly/Club: TAV Houston/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <p>Annalise is currently ranked as the 83^rdtop prospect in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings.  She is from about an hour west of Houston and travels a while to play club for TAV Houston. She is from the Beaumont area and plays for a small private school Monsignor Kelly Catholic School.  A true six footer who plays very big out of the middle.  She has a cannon for an arm and quick sets disappear in a hurry when she connects. She seals the net extremely well and is able to read the set defensively to set up the block.  I like how she runs her routes with authority as she wants to put the ball down every time.  Annalise is a middle who can score with power to both corners to keep the block guessing. She can definitely play at the next level and we are excited to watch her grow for the next two years. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="99528" first="Kamie" last="Lohnes"] [2022] 5-11 Middle/Outside (HS: Grand Oaks/Club: Skyline Houston/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <p>Miss Lohnes is currently ranked as the 88^thtop prospect in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings.  Kamie is a skilled middle who also doubles as an outside hitter from time to time.  This versatility is what brings her to our attention.  Anyone who can so easily transition to different tempos and do it well should be cherished in this day and age of specialization.  Kamie can bring the thunder with her attack out of the pins. She is also able to play back row and is a great defensive player.  She is able to play out of the middle back position and reads the setter well to put herself in a great spot to play the ball.  I like how she stays in the seams and doesn’t roam too much which leads me to believe that she understands the defensive game-plan her coaches preach. Last season’s Newcomer of the Year in her district out of the middle front position is ready for a breakout year with her Varsity program.  We are excited to watch.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Stay tuned to my next highlight article of more uncommitted amazing players who are ready for the big stage. We have many players that we are adding to our raking system daily, so If you know of any good prospects I should know, please send me an email at nov8vb@yahoo.com.</p>
