<p>Four standouts repeated as Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association Region Players of the Year.</p>
<p>An in-depth look at the four repeat region players of the year follows. </p>
<p><strong>Region 2 Player of the Year - [player_tooltip player_id="68073" first="Olivia" last="Mitchell"] (Caldwell County):</strong> A senior outside hitter, Mitchell leads 2nd Region title contender Caldwell County. Mitchell has been a leader as Caldwell County is back in the 3rd Region Volleyball Tournament Semifinals. In 22 matches, Mitchell has logged 392 kills, 208 digs, 12 blocks and 20 service aces. </p>
<p><strong>Region 4 Player of the Year - [player_tooltip player_id="68078" first="Katie" last="Howard"] (Greenwood):</strong> A senior outside hitter, Howard has helped Greenwood capture four straight District 14 titles. A versatile outside hitter, Howard recorded 196 kills, 24 blocks, 16 assists, 134 digs and 27 service aces through Howard’s latest district title run. </p>
<p><strong>Region 6 Player of the Year - [player_tooltip player_id="68067" first="Elena" last="Scott"] (Mercy):</strong> A senior setter, Scott is committed to Louisville. Among the leaders for perennial state title contender Mercy, Scott is putting together another stellar season. Scott has registered 158 assists, 173 digs, 65 kills, 26 service aces and 15 blocks in 14 matches for Mercy during her senior season. </p>
<p><strong>Region 9 Player of the Year - [player_tooltip player_id="68136" first="Lucy" last="Trump"] (Ryle):</strong> A junior outside hitter, Trump is committed to Notre Dame. One of the state’s most experienced high school volleyball players in the Class of 2022, Trump is a longtime leader for her prep team. Trump has recorded 322 kills, 29 blocks, 149 digs and 24 service aces in 21 matches during her junior season. </p>
