Class 3 Kirksville Sectional Preview!

<p><a href="https://www.mshsaa.org/MySchool/Schedule.aspx?s=94&alg=57">Kirksville High School</a> 16-13</p>
<p>Set [player_tooltip player_id="102445" first="Vanessa" last="Polk"], and it’s over before it starts. Burroughs record doesn’t say much, but they have one of the best in [player_tooltip player_id="102445" first="Vanessa" last="Polk"]. Add in 6’1 sophomore <strong>Ellie Skale</strong>, and they have a solid middle combo. Kirksville was the #4 seed in their district and won it, beating #1 Hallsville in 5 and #2 seed Mexico 3-1. With a pair of seniors leading Kirksville in <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="41772" first="Abby" last="Reuschel"]</strong> with 217 and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="41791" first="Emily" last="Middleton"]</strong> 213. Kirksville, not a player like [player_tooltip player_id="102445" first="Vanessa" last="Polk"] before. I’m going to take Burroughs in 3.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.mshsaa.org/MySchool/Schedule.aspx?s=83&alg=57">Hermann High School</a> 22-6-3</p>
<p>Winfield’s had a great season but has run into Hermann. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="101692" first="Taylor" last="Gentemann"]</strong> and <strong>Judie Rhoades</strong> will look to upend the tradition of the Bearcats. Hermann and [player_tooltip player_id="41784" first="Grace" last="Winkelmann"] will look to add another trip to the final four. [player_tooltip player_id="41784" first="Grace" last="Winkelmann"] will add to her 502 kills and will rely on <strong>Holly Heldt</strong> and <strong>Malerie Schutt</strong> for some help at the net. The common opponent was New Haven, which Hermann beat 2-0 and 3-0. Winfield beat New Haven 2-0 and split 1-1. In the long run, Hermann will win this 3-0. </p>

<p>Hermann is just too much for Burroughs to deal with. [player_tooltip player_id="41784" first="Grace" last="Winkelmann"] goes off, and the supporting cast does their role in helping Hermann back to repeat as state champions.</p>
