A look at the champions from regions 1-4 follows.
McCracken County (Region 1): Remaining a frontrunner, McCracken County shut out rival Paducah Tilghman 3-0 (26-24, 25-13, 25-11) in the 1st Region title match. McCracken County reloaded after its 1st Region title run in 2019. Key players for McCracken County (21-4) include sophomore setter/middle blocker Piper Mullinax, senior middle blocker/outside hitter Jayda Harris, sophomore outside hitter/libero Jenna Henshaw, sophomore opposite Caroline Sivills, senior defensive specialist Olivia Blackwell, senior middle blocker/outside hitter Adele Mavigliano and senior defensive specialist Bailey Bowland. McCracken County is set to face 2nd Region champion Caldwell County in the opening round of the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament. The Mustangs shut out Caldwell County 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-21) when the two high school volleyball squads met for an early-season match on September 12.
Caldwell County (Region 2): Efficient Caldwell County shut out Madisonville-North Hopkins 3-0 (25-19, 25-10, 25-8) in the 2nd Region title match. Caldwell County returned to the top following a loss to eventual champion Henderson County in the 2nd Region Volleyball Tournament Semifinals in 2019. The Caldwell County roster features Region 2 Player of the Year Olivia Mitchell Olivia Mitchell OH Caldwell County | 2021 State KY , a senior outside hitter. Along with Mitchell, key players for Caldwell County include senior middle blocker Abby Griggs, senior setter Kendyll Prowell, junior middle blocker Riley Thomas and junior outside hitter Mary Tays.
Daviess County (Region 3): Determined Daviess County blanked Grayson County 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-13) in the 3rd Region title match. Daviess County (14-3) has notched six straight wins after dropping back-to-back matches to 3rd Region rivals Breckinridge County and Apollo. The top performers for Daviess County include senior outside hitter Elizabeth Moore, junior setter Ryann Keller, sophomore outside hitter Josie Newcom, sophomore outside hitter Adylan Ayer, senior middle hitter Jasmine Beasley, senior libero/defensive specialist Kendal Goetz and senior outside hitter/defensive specialist Kloee Phelps. Daviess County has the tough task of facing defending champion Assumption in the opening round of the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament.
Greenwood (Region 4): Winning convincingly, Greenwood blanked nemesis Bowling Green 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-9) in the 4th Region title match. Region 4 Player of the Year Katie Howard Katie Howard OH Greenwood | 2021 State KY , a senior outside hitter, leads Greenwood. Along with Howard, Greenwood features junior setter Megan Gore Megan Gore 5'8" | S Greenwood | 2022 State KY , junior outside hitter Olivia Overmohle, senior libero Sydney Keown and freshman middle blocker Aubrey Packer, each of whom thrived during the regular-season and have excelled during the postseason. Greenwood is scheduled to face North Oldham in the opening round of the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament.
