Four First Team All-Staters from Lexington

<p>Four Lexington student-athletes earned First Team All-State honors from the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association (KVCA) for the 2020 season. </p>
<p>Here’s a look at the four First Team All-State honorees from Lexington.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68081" first="Caroline" last="Cole"]:</strong> A 5-6 senior libero from Paul Laurence Dunbar, Cole wrapped up an exceptional high school volleyball career in late-October. Cole continued to lead Dunbar as a senior, pacing her team in digs and service aces. The productive Cole excels in the back row. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68072" first="Lane" last="Jenkins"]:</strong> A 5-10 Lafayette senior setter, Jenkins is an experienced leader. An outstanding passer, Jenkins has helped to lead Lafayette throughout her high school volleyball career. A vocal leader, Jenkins runs offenses well and identifies blockers consistently. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68074" first="Abby" last="Shadwick"]:</strong> A 6-2 Henry Clay senior outside hitter, Shadwick was named 2020 Ms. Kentucky Volleyball. The winner of the state’s top individual high school volleyball honor, Shadwick led 11th Region champion Henry Clay in kills as a senior. Explosive at the net, Shadwick is an exceptional hitter from the left side.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68092" first="Emma" last="Shadwick"]:</strong> A 6-2 Henry Clay senior right side, [player_tooltip player_id="68092" first="Emma" last="Shadwick"] excels at her position. A strong hitter from the right side, [player_tooltip player_id="68092" first="Emma" last="Shadwick"] ranked second in both kills and blocks for 11th Region champion Henry Clay during the 2020 high school volleyball season. [player_tooltip player_id="68092" first="Emma" last="Shadwick"] blocks well, both individually and with teammates. </p>
