First, we broke the players down by division and then we switched gears to analyze who are expected to be the most outstanding athletes in the top teams of each of those divisions.

For the next several weeks, we’ll dive even deeper, taking a closer look at each of the 46 district leagues in the state of Washington and pointing out the players we believe will be worth your attention in the near future.

The 4A Greater St. Helens district is composed of four high schools, and their three best players are:

[player_tooltip player_id="97290" first="Tyra" last="Schaub"] is one of the most coveted prospects in the entire state as her game combines power and technique in a way that’s rarely seen. The 6’1” Skyview outside hitter is a scoring machine at the net, but is also an elite defender and passer, having the entire package to become a complete player. Her talent has already received significant recognition as her play for the Storm in 2019 granted her the district’s Co-Player of the Year award and threw her name in the AVCA Under Armour All American Phenom List.

[player_tooltip player_id="96993" first="Grace" last="Varsek"] – Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist – Senior - Camas

[player_tooltip player_id="96993" first="Grace" last="Varsek"]’s outstanding technique is jaw-dropping. The 5’8” prospect is one of the finest players in the entire district and her refined skills make of her a real threat for Camas at the net. Her backcourt game is also well above-average, which allows the Papermakers to deploy her as a defensive specialist too if needed. Her contributions were pivotal for the team to finish seventh at last year’s State Championships and she was an All-League first-team selection for that. She ranks 14th in prepdig.com's class of 2021 ranking.

[player_tooltip player_id="96989" first="Lia" last="Hawken"] – Outside Hitter – Senior – Skyview

As one of the top prospects in the district, [player_tooltip player_id="96989" first="Lia" last="Hawken"] already has her future set as she committed to playing for the University of Dayton at the collegiate level. The opportunity came after the 6’1” outside hitter has a stellar season with Skyview, registering 163 kills, 48 blocks, and 115 digs for the Storm and making it to the All-League first team. Even though her entire game is very well-rounded, what sets Hawken apart as a standout player is her offensive firepower, which combines her impressive height and athleticism with great technical skills and a superior understanding of the game. She is currently the tenth-ranked player in prepdig.com's class of 2021 ranking.
