That gives an opportunity for some Class of 2023 members to continue to build off their great season.

Included in that group are some setters with a wealth of potential.

Here’s a look at some of the top 2023 setters from the fall season.

[player_tooltip player_id="66328" first="Ava" last="Sarafa"], Marian: The Mustangs have a very potent offense and a big reason for its success this season is the play of Sarafa. She earned Second Team All-State honors in Division 1 and has Marian as a quarterfinalist this season. Despite limited sets, Sarafa still had 1,152 assists this year. She also tallied 202 digs, 69 kills, 50 blocks and 34 aces. Marian has a lot of trust in her and she has been able to come through with flying colors.

[player_tooltip player_id="66296" first="Skylar" last="Bump"], Lakewood: Bump was given control of the powerful Lakewood offense as a freshman and shined. This season, Bump has taken another step forward and plays with tremendous confidence. Bump has improved her all-around play, making her impact felt in more than just setting. She was selected Second Team All-State in Division 2 and has the Vikings as a top contender for the state championship as they await their quarterfinal match.

[player_tooltip player_id="66343" first="Corrie" last="Wisser"], Hopkins: Wisser was able to have a standout freshman season for Hopkins and she followed it up with a great sophomore outing. Wisser had 639 assists, 262 digs, 178 kills, 58 aces and 26 blocks this fall. This fall, Wisser really was able to put all her talents on display. She hit an impressive .329 from the setter position and was named All-Region and All-State in Division 2.

Margo Sudzina, Notre Dame Prep: Sudzina is one of two setting options for the Irish, a D2 quarterfinalist. She led NDP in assists this fall with 570, while also adding 147 digs and 26 aces. The Irish are a very balanced team and Sudzina is able to feed the different hitting options very well. She has been able to find the hot hands and keep the Irish rolling along in the postseason. Sudzina was named All-Region.

Ella Wagner, Garber: Wagner was an All-Region selection in Division 2 as she helped the Dukes claim a district championship this season. Wagner moves efficiently and puts her teammates in the best position to succeed. She mixes up the feeds and knows when to call her own number as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="66306" first="Lauren" last="Higgs"], Harper Creek: Higgs had a solid season running the Harper Creek offense. The Beavers reached the regional finals in Division 2, with Higgs being named All-Region. Higgs was able to really gel the team together on the court. She exhibits a lot of leadership skills as a sophomore and that will only grow as she continues to sharpen her skills.

[player_tooltip player_id="66300" first="Paige" last="Elliott"], Detroit Country Day: The Yellowjackets are a young and very talented squad that has lots of potential for the 2021 season. Elliott has the ability to play setter and defensive specialist. She’s got a keen eye for the ball and plays very instinctual. Working with some explosive hitters, Elliott’s game has been raised over the fall season.

[player_tooltip player_id="66304" first="Megan" last="Grose"], St. Catherine Academy: Grose is a standout setter, but she also steps up for the SCA attack. She upped her setting play this fall for the Stars, who face off with some of the top teams in the state during the season. Grose’s athletic ability shows in her diverse skills, but that is ultimately what will make her a tremendous setter in the years to come.
