#4 Kate Stoughton Kate Stoughton 5'7" | S Brick Memorial | 2022 State NJ , Class of 2022
Outside hitter Kate Stoughton Kate Stoughton 5'7" | S Brick Memorial | 2022 State NJ is a hidden gem of southern Jersey. In her sophomore season, she earned 336 kills,16 blocks, 245 digs, 15 assists, 204 service points, and 93 aces – putting her at the top in the state for serving statistics. She is the highest converter in that program and the entire Shore conference by far. She is only halfway through her high school career, so we can expect a lot from her in future seasons.
#3 Simrin Carlsen Simrin Carlsen 5'10" | OH John P. Stevens | 2021 State NJ , Class of 2021
Another hidden gem is Simrin Carlsen Simrin Carlsen 5'10" | OH John P. Stevens | 2021 State NJ of J.P. Stevens high school. She’s a big offensive thread for the program. Rostered as a setter and right side hitter, she earned 402 kills, 23 blocks, 253 digs, 19 assists, and 35 aces in the 2019 season. She is due for another killer season as setter Laurel Sarkaria Laurel Sarkaria S JP Stevens | 2022 State NJ is returning for her junior year.
#2 Mackenzie Wiggins Mackenzie Wiggins 5'11" | OH Sparta | 2021 State NJ , Class of 2021
Wiggins rules the court at Sparta. In her junior year, she earned 403 kills, 20 blocks, 257 digs, 11 assists, and 66 aces. She’s a terrific embodiment of what a dependable outside hitter looks like, plus she’s a reliable leader on and off the court. She came to New Jersey last year from Texas and brought with her that southern flair that only Texas volleyball can bring.
#1 Lauren Wilcock Lauren Wilcock 5'10" | OH Mendham | 2021 State NJ , Class of 2021
This star hitter from Mendham was a key part of the program’s success this season. She finished the 2019 season with 434 kills, 14 blocks, 279 digs, 46 assists, and 30 aces. She’s a ferocious force in all six spots on the court, and a proud leader for her squad. She has her younger sister Sarah Wilcock to set her in her final season, and to carry the team forward for two more seasons.
