Throw a dart on a map and you will probably find a Presidents Day Tournament near. Across the state as well events in St. Louis, indianapolis, Chicagoland, and Detroit, Wisconsin athletes are ready to compete against some of the best. Here is a quick guide that will help parents, fans, and college coaches keep track of where athletes will be competing over Presidents Day Weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id="81321" first="Grace" last="Schneider"] - Milwaukee Sting 17 Black

St. Louis Presidents Day

Schneider has really risen on the radar over the past year and is a solid six rotation prospect that can pass and score with the top tier of pins in the state. Well trained at her Wisconsin Lutheran High School program and at Sting, she has a solid foundation of skills and has gained strength and explosiveness which has helped her game in all facets.

[player_tooltip player_id="57272" first="Rebecca" last="Siedenburg"] - Motion Volleyball Program (MVP) 17 Blue

St. Louis Presidents Day

MVP 17's have a really athletic team with a balanced group of attackers. Siedenburg is one of the setters on this squad where she is accustomed to playing at a high level. She has the athleticism and size to run a 5-1, but also can defend her position in the backcourt. This team will have a chance to make a run after strong showings at the Prep Dig Resolution and Central Zone.

[player_tooltip player_id="81303" first="Sophie" last="McCormack"] - Sting Burlington United 17 Orange

Indy Presidents Day

McCormack was fun to watch this summer and event at our Prep Dig Showcases where she can attack from either pin. She is fast to the ball with a violent armswing where she can use the block to her advantage or blast away. This Sting Burlington team has a lot of talent with setter [player_tooltip player_id="81272" first="Josie" last="Johnson"] committed to UW-Milwaukee and a talented libero in [player_tooltip player_id="117345" first="Ella" last="Luoma"] controlling the backcourt.

[player_tooltip player_id="81305" first="Delaney" last="McIntosh"] - Capital 17 Adidas

Detroit Presidents Day Challenge

I am so excited for these Capital athletes to get a chance to play. Most of these athletes were able to play in our Prep Dig Events this fall as most of their high schools opted for a spring season so this will be the first big event for them in almost a year. McIntosh is a well rounded athlete where she can play on the pin, but also is incredibly solid in the backrow too. She is the type of player you just need on the court as much as possible.

Macie Wieman - Balance 17's

Impact Heartbreaker Open - Appleton

Wieman might be pulling some double duty this weekend as will a lot of these volleyball athletes as it is regional basketball playoffs as well. Wieman plays basketball at Reedsburg as do most of her club teammates at their high schools. Wieman is an athlete who can play on the pin, libero, or DS providing a swing out of the backrow. A lot of athleticism and a really exciting player who is so versatile providing a ton of value for her side of the court.

[player_tooltip player_id="118259" first="Cadence" last="Maxfield"] - Impact 17 National

Sports Performance Presidents Day - Aurora, IL

Maxfield continues to be dynamic for Impact who has a really well balanced squad. As a setter she connects well with outside hitter and fellow Notre Dame Academy teammate, Olivia Sullivan, but she can also attack herself in the front row. She's a swiss army knife type of player who can do a little bit of everything.

[player_tooltip player_id="35805" first="Katie" last="Gund"] - Milwaukee Sting 17 White

St. Louis Presidents Day

Gund has always been a solid and consistent setter where she can contribute in all rotations. As someone who can run a 5-1, set a strong block, and play solid defense in the backrow it gives her team plenty of options. Sting 17 White is coming off a big weekend two weeks ago winning their Division of Central Zone in Indianapolis.

[player_tooltip player_id="80783" first="Hannah" last="Franson"] - Motion Volleyball Program MVP 17 Blue

St. Louis Presidents Day

Franson has an explosive approach and is a pure point scorer. She can play on either pin and brings plenty of physicality to the net. MVP 17 Blue is extremely athletic and has a heavy dose of power at the pins where they have a strong arm in [player_tooltip player_id="57264" first="Brooke" last="Porter"] as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="81297" first="Cassandra" last="Alsum"] - Milwaukee Sting 17 White

St. Louis Presidents Day

Alsum has a big arm where she can swing from the pin or provides a powerful swing from the backrow as well. Quick, athletic, and covers range she is extremely dynamic where she can play multiple positions and can step in and do whatever her team needs.

[player_tooltip player_id="117351" first="Sierra" last="Studer"] - RVA 17 Navy

Indy Presidents Day

Studer is coming off a big tournament at the Prep Dig Quad Cities Clash. RVA 17 Navy went 5-1 and has a really strong core of athletes at every position. [player_tooltip player_id="117352" first="Peyton" last="Como"] has been a really steady libero and [player_tooltip player_id="81312" first="Abby" last="Savatski"] has been a big point scorer out of the middle. Studer is the type that can score everywhere whether it's the front or back row.

[player_tooltip player_id="81259" first="Haley" last="Graetz"] - Minnesota Juniors 18-1

Omaha Presidents Day Classic

Graetz, Maddie Morrow, and [player_tooltip player_id="81298" first="Dani" last="Lien"] of River Falls are now playing for Minnesota Juniors along with [player_tooltip player_id="91859" first="Anika" last="Torgerson"] are playing for Minnesota Juniors 18's squad out of the Twin Cities Metro. Graetz can play on the pin or in the middle showing her versatility in the front row and can score points in multiple ways.
