Our coverage of the newest class rankings update brings us to the middle. These athletes are big, fast, springy, and will make a difference somewhere come fall of 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id="110488" first="Ella" last="Boersema"], 6-2, [program_tooltip program_id='430155' first='Team' last='Pineapple'] 15 Black

The last time I saw Ella, she wasn't this tall. It's great to see kids continue to go fast and athletic even as they get taller, and Ella is one of the best in this class. I will classify her as an M2 (two-footed middle next to the right side), as I have yet to see her run anything behind the setter. No matter, however. She's up early every time the ball hits the setters hands, and between her size and her jumping ability, she's beating most blocks at this level.

[player_tooltip player_id="110490" first="Taylor" last="Lewis"], 6-0, [program_tooltip program_id='431513' first='Munciana' last='Indy'] 16 Moana

A go-fast, no quit middle is what you get out of Taylor. Coming from and excellent volleyball training background (Cathedral High School), Taylor is playing up a year, and you won't even notice when you watch her. High attack point, heavy arm, and defends pin to pin well.

[player_tooltip player_id="133763" first="Marlina" last="Anderson"], 5-10, Academy 15 Elite Venom

Already jumping past 9-6, Marlina is great in front of and behind the setter. Her long arms help her defend pin to pin as well, and is easy to coach. She's got speed, a whip of an arm, can hit any set you throw at her, and is a super positive teammate. What more could you ask?

[player_tooltip player_id="110492" first="Scarlett" last="Kimbrell"], 6-0, Academy 15 Elite Vipers

I first saw Scarlett as the starting M2 for Franklin Community High School last fall. You wouldn't know she was a freshman the way she played and carried herself. She was mature beyond her years, and her athleticism was catching up to that maturity. Fast forward to this spring, and Miss Kimbrell has significantly "trained her game" to another level, and will be a force to reckon with for years to come.

[player_tooltip player_id="112085" first="Tiffany" last="Snook"], 6-2, Munciana 15 Lorax

Tiffany may look like all arms and legs, but her power and jumping ability cannot be underestimated. She comes from a solid training background (Hamilton Southeastern High School), and is playing regularly with the 15-1s at Munciana. This girl gets up and is fast. Her volleyball acumen is also steadily rising, making her a must-see if you need a middle in this class.
