Stat Monsters: 4A Assist Leaders

<p>Seven players in Class 4A from the Class of 2022 had at least 400 or more assists.</p> <p>Here is a report on five of those Class of 2022 assist leaders entering their senior high school seasons.</p> <p><strong>S, [player_tooltip player_id="123103" first="Kirsten" last="Evans"], 5’8”</strong>, <strong>Ottawa</strong>– Evans has a big season setting for the Ottawa Braves. She finished with 1,010 assists. Evans is a well-rounded player who also amassed 316 digs and 100 kills. She will be one of the top recruited setters from the class of 2022.</p> <p><strong>S, Annabeth Baalmann, 5’9”, Andale  </strong>– Baalmann will be an important player for Andale in 2021. She finished her 2020 season with 851 assists. She has a nice serves as well finishing with 32 service aces in her junior year.</p> <p><strong>S, [player_tooltip player_id="123166" first="Emma" last="Durr"],  5’7”, Eudora </strong>– Eudora has recently been producing a large number of talented Student-Athletes and you can add Durr to that list. The Cardinal setter finished with 583 assists in her junior season. She can also play defensive specialist as he finished with a total of 193 digs in 2020. Her versatility should improve her recruiting chances.</p> <p><strong>S, Ryann Alderson, 5’6”, Wamego</strong> – Alderson will have several weapons in 2021 and it will be Alderson’s job to make sure there are enough passes to go around. She is a six-rotation player who can fill up a stat sheet. Alderson finished her junior season with totals of 532 assists, 313 digs, and 98 kills.</p> <p><strong>S, Madi Bruce, 5’7”, Atchison –</strong> Bruce is an interesting prospect that might be perfect for a junior college program. She finished with 410 assists for the Atchison Indians, but she also added 198 kills and 131 digs. It will be interesting to see how her game evolves in her senior campaign.</p>
