Lefties Who Were Locked in at the PDBV

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Prep Dig Battle in the Valley was a full weekend of competitive volleyball from start to finish. Athletes from across the midwest impressed throughout the weekend. It was an incredible weekend to cover and I had a blast taking pictures and scouting out athletes. Emma is a gritty right side who is very effective both in and out of system. She has a high swing and strong snap giving her a very effective finish on the ball. Emma is an impactful player on every play and a huge asset to this Premier team. </span></p> <p>https://x.com/BreitNelson/status/1388506310476500997</p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ava Schubert - Iowa Select 17 Mizuno </span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ava is incredibly talented. She plays all six rotations and is an offensive weapon for her team in both the front and back row. Ava puts up a solid and nearly impenetrable block. She sets the block consistently for her middles to close. She exploded onto the scene of top athletes at this tournament. Mickenzi played all six rotations and utilized her height, vertical, and power to manufacture kills in all six rotations. She has a great line shot that is incredibly hard to defend and utilizes shots very well. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Brie Eckerman - V-Hawk Xtreme 16-Adidas</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Brie is a go-to hitter on this talented V-Hawk team. She gets a lot of sets and executes well off of all of them. Brie has a high swing and strong snap that allows her to either swing over blocks or power through them. Brie is a fun athlete to watch and is very impactful on the right side. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="122519" first="London" last="Metropulos"] - Wisconsin Ice 15 Purple</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">London was a key athlete in her team’s championship run during this tournament. She is powerful and has a lot of height, a dangerous combination for a lefty volleyball player. London has been on the rise this entire season, and this past weekend was no different. She has an awesome vertical and a very powerful swing. She earns a lot of points for this scrappy FVP team. They compete at a high level, and Claudia is a huge reason for that. Claudia is an athlete with a ton of potential!</p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">All of these athletes have a ton of potential to do big things in the sport. As these lefties continue to develop through high school and club volleyball, they are sure to continue impressing!</span></p>
