GJNC Previews: TAV Houston 15 Blue

<p>The most important moment of the season is just around the corner for teams from the 15s, 16s and 17s age group from around the country as the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from June 26-July 5.</p> <p>As many as 728 teams are expected to compete in the 15 divisions for these three age groups and the state of Texas will, of course, be well-represented in the tournament with more than 70 teams expected to make the trip to Nevada.</p> <p>During the next few weeks, we'll use this space to present the Lone Star state representatives in the tournament, recapping their performances during the club season and highlighting some of their top prospects.</p> <p><strong>TAV Houston 15 Blue</strong></p> <p>A member of the TAV Houston club, 15 Blue is headed to Nevada to compete in the 15 Patriot division. The 5'7” Joyner is not the most physical or powerful hitter but she has a fantastic wrist, which allows her to send the ball anywhere on the court. That and her well-rounded game were also built on the sand as she frequently takes part in beach volleyball tournaments in the area.</p> <p></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Kaysie Lynch – Setter – HS: Montgomery – 2024</strong></p> <p>Kaysie Lynch plays as a setter for TAV Houston 15 Blue but she gets to contribute to the team with more than her accurate sets. A 5'6” prospect, Lynch is a very good defender and she makes her presence felt on the back row with her great positioning and superior ball control. She's also a dangerous server who can get on scoring runs from the service line.</p> <p><iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/13547067/5e528c5b6e810c0254ce927b" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Brookelynn Anderson – Middle Blocker – HS: Grand Oaks - 2024 </strong></p> <p>There's still a lot of improvement to be made on Brookelynn Anderson's game but she already manages to impact the game at the net from a very early age. A 5'10” middle blocker, she's long and active at the net and deals well with overpasses and oversets and can also block to a certain extent.
