Prep Dig Sizzle: Sister Edition

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We love when we get to see sisters play in the same gym. It is such a fun atmosphere and just great to see. There were some great sister duos that rocked the Sizzle tournament. Some siblings were split between JV and varsity and others both played at the varsity tournament. Either way, it was awesome to see these sisters rocking the volleyball court. </span></p> <h4><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="81269" first="Bella" last="Van Lannen"] (2022) and [player_tooltip player_id="122566" first="Emerson" last="Van Lannen"] (2024) - Appleton North</span></h4> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bella, a right side committed to Northern Colorado, is an impactful and talented right side who is incredibly smart with the ball. She has a ton of power and a nasty line shot. Emerson is a setter who is just a gritty athlete. She is great on defense and can swing as well. Both are well-rounded athletes who are huge assets to any team they are on. </span></p> <h4><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="22384" first="Karissa" last="Kaminski"] (2022) and [player_tooltip player_id="122498" first="Kamryn" last="Kaminski"] (2024)  - Howard’s Grove</span></h4> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Karissa and Kamryn are another dynamic sister duo. Karissa (University of Dayton commit) has had huge success. She is a libero by trade, but has a powerful swing and typically plays outside for Howard’s Grove. Kamryn is a setter who is following closely in her sister’s footsteps. She is a competitive individual who will stop at nothing to get a ball up or better the ball for her team. </span></p> <h4><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="57252" first="Emma" last="Baierl"] (2022) and [player_tooltip player_id="122497" first="Olivia" last="Baierl"] (2024) - Howard’s Grove</span></h4> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Emma (Truman State commit) is one of the grittiest and smartest setters in her class. She is fun to watch and is huge defensively and as a setter. Her sheer talent and work ethic have gotten her so far in the sport and it will only continue. Olivia is a trained libero but hit outside for Howard’s Grove in both the JV and Varsity Sizzle tournaments. She brings her own grit and determination, fitting right in with this highly competitive team despite her young age. </span></p> <h4><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="81270" first="Avery" last="Pennekamp"] (2022) and Ainsley Pennekamp (2024) - McFarland </span></h4> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Avery is a hugely dynamic and powerful pin hitter who can play all six rotations. She is explosive with a heavy swing and can really rip a ball. Ainsley is also quite dynamic and can be utilized anywhere across the net. She is aggressive at the net and has a ton of potential. </span></p> <h4><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="118262" first="Cassandra" last="Patchett"] (2022) and [player_tooltip player_id="122532" first="Annalise" last="Patchett"] (2024) - Fox Valley Lutheran</span></h4> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">These sisters are nearly identical but have different styles of play. As an outside hitter, Cassie has great ball control, an aggressive serve, and a full toolbox of shots. She also has a lot of power on the pin and is an executor and go-to hitter for FVL. Annalise has a huge reach and a lot of speed out of the middle. She also has a very competitive serve. This sister duo will be fun to watch in the upcoming season. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="81337" first="Autumn" last="Daute"] (2022) and Calli Daute (2024) - Cedarburg </span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">These sisters are both setters and incredibly talented. Autumn is smooth on the court. She knows her job and gets it done. Autumn has clean hands and deep knowledge of the game and her teammates. Calli is impressive in her own right. She set and played right side in the JV Sizzle. Calli is a great all-around player and has nice hands and good decision-making skills as a setter. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Juliana Napoleon (2022)  and Abby Napoleon (2024) - Cedarburg </span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Juliana and Abby are both incredibly athletic and were in my notes before I even knew they were sisters. Juliana was playing on the pin in the varsity Sizzle and Abby in the middle at the JV Sizzle. Juliana is a go-to hitter for Cedarburg and executes extremely well on the outside. She is great in out-of-system balls and can be relied upon to put in a competitive shot on every ball. Abby has huge amounts of potential as an athlete and already has a high reach and good connection with the ball. </span></p>
