WKU Volleyball Camp: Top Setters

Here’s a list of top setters at the WKU volleyball camp from all over the state of Kentucky! 

Kendall Simmons- A junior setter from South Warren High School, Kendall Simmons proved to be a standout at the WKU camp. Simmons didn’t play last year because she was behind all-star senior setter, Sydney Clayton Sydney Clayton S South Warren | 2021 State KY , but this year, you can tell it’s her time to shine. Kendall was constantly a leader for her team and made the smart decisions in pressure situations. Watch out as this junior helps lead the talented Spartans to a successful season this year! 

Kaia Barnett- A name that had to make it on this list, Kaia Barnett, a junior setter for Bowling Green High School, continues to show promise as a varsity leader. Barnett has started for the Lady Purples since her freshman year, so the amount of experience she has sets her apart from the other setters in the region. Barnett runs a fast tempo offense and also aids the team in her own turn and burn skills. Kaia will be a strong key to the success of Bowling Green High School’s season this year! 

Isabella Myers Isabella Myers 5'11" | S Ballard Memorial | 2022 State KY - A senior setter from Ballard Memorial, Myers proved to be one of the top athletes at the camp. Her best skill is the power to impact her team from every position which allows her to be a strong leader in the front and back row. Myers will be a great addition to any collegiate team because of her ability to play anywhere but also because of her strong hands and quick tempo offense. 

Lindsey Vest Lindsey Vest S Central Hardin | 2022 State KY - From Central Hardin, Lindsey Vest Lindsey Vest S Central Hardin | 2022 State KY started as a varsity setter last year and led the team in assists with 446. She also added 100 digs and 24 service aces. The Lady Bruins run a 6’2, so Vest only plays three rotations in the back row, but she makes every one of them count! Her numbers were very strong last year, so the 2021 season looks very bright for this senior setter! 

Sarah Peebles Sarah Peebles 5'4" | S University Heights | 2024 State KY - A class of 2024 recruit, Sarah Peebles Sarah Peebles 5'4" | S University Heights | 2024 State KY will be a force for the University Heights squad. She aided the team as a setter and defensive specialist last year behind senior setter, Beth Peebles Beth Peebles S University Heights | 2021 State KY , but this year, Sarah will star as the sole varsity setter. In 2020, she racked up 158 assists, 153 digs, and 39 service aces, so it will be fun to watch Sarah as she gains more time and experience at the varsity level! 

Lauren White- From Russell County, Lauren White will be the varsity setter for her squad. Last year, she racked up 23 assists in one match against Allen-County Scottsville and helped lead her team to a district runner-up title. White shows promise as a setter and continues to work harder and get better.
