As promised earlier, it’s time to talk about some stock risers.

There were a lot of great candidates for this feature. Nebraska’s Class of 2023 has already produced some exciting moments, and the talent in this group is just as thrilling. We’ll have plenty more big movers to talk about before the 2023s are done.

For now, here are a few names that are rising up the leaderboard.

[player_tooltip player_id="59201" first="Grace" last="Heaney"] - 6’2 RS - Elkhorn North

Heaney now occupies the top spot in our rankings after a standout 2021 club season. Her effortless elevation and powerful lefty swing have proven to be nearly unstoppable. With the recruitment of 2023s now reaching a feverish pace, Heaney will have some tough choices to make.

[player_tooltip player_id="59194" first="Morgan" last="Burke"] - 5’10 S - Omaha Skutt

We now look at an athlete who has already made a choice regarding her future. Burke has just announced her commitment to Michigan, marking the second Nebraska player to pledge to a Big Ten school in just the past few weeks. Burke will continue to shine at Omaha Skutt for the remainder of her prep career.

[player_tooltip player_id="59204" first="Amanda" last="Loschen"] - 6’2 MB - Omaha Marian

Loschen has picked up plenty of accolades in her time with Nebraska Elite, and she’ll look to add to her resume this fall with Omaha Marian. Her presence and strength at the net should make her an exciting middle blocker at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="104588" first="Skylar" last="Walters"] - 5’9 S - Millard West

Walters is another setter with a great chance to showcase her skills with a great high school program this fall. This Millard West product has already produced some standout moments in club competition, and I’m excited to see her bring that energy to the Wildcats.

[player_tooltip player_id="112002" first="Brooklyn" last="Fuchs"] - 6’1 MB - Lincoln East

Fuchs climbs up our rankings after a good showing with VCN over the past few months. She’s been impressive during her stint with the Spartans, too, and she has a chance to raise her stock even more.

[player_tooltip player_id="152108" first="Elecea" last="Saathoff"] - 5’9 S/OH - Diller-Odell

If you like versatile players who are proficient in a variety of skills, be sure to check out Saathoff this fall. She has shown her ability to set and hit at a high level and will play any position to help her team win.

[player_tooltip player_id="123534" first="Mady" last="Banitt"] - 6’0 MB - Waverly

VCN currently has a lot of players who have demonstrated great improvement, and Banitt is a good example. Her development during club competition will translate well to the high school season as she contributes to an electric Waverly offense.

[player_tooltip player_id="152109" first="Presley" last="Harms"] - 5’10 MB - Ashland-Greenwood

Harms has brought plenty of energy to the court lately, and she’ll continue to do it for an Ashland-Greenwood squad that hopes to return to Lincoln for postseason play.

[player_tooltip player_id="110201" first="Anna" last="Sis"] - 5’11 OH - Papillion-La Vista

Papillion-La Vista will be looking for the next in line to help lead them on the outside. Perhaps the younger Sis can take on that role. She’s got the talent and drive to lead the new-look Monarchs offense this fall.
