Positional Breakdown: Stockrising OHs

With the season starting off in the right direction, new and returning athletes are beginning to put their all onto the court and bring everything they have to the table. Moving into the 2nd week of the season, we are going to take a look into some stock rising outside hitters who have managed to pop up on the radar with their outstanding performances with the few matches they have played to date. These athletes continue to add onto their track record and continue to prove their athletic abilities and talents whenever they step foot onto the court. [player_tooltip player_id="61693" first="Amanda" last="Holsen"]- Stevenson High School Holsen is a very powerful hitter when it comes to putting her all out on the court and showing up and showing out to prove her worth as a rising elite athlete and a stock rising athlete as a whole. Holsen stands at 6’0" and is a very skilled hitter and consistent hitter when it comes to increasing her kills on the court. This season, Holsen currently has 67 kills with being seen in 14 sets. Holsen has been a varsity starter since her freshman year and only has made progress when it comes to perfecting her craft. Last season, despite COVID, Holsen managed to secure 226 kills with 33 sets played. Holsen is a firecracker on the floor and I am excited to see more from her in the next coming weeks. Audrey Brcka- Wheaton North High School Brcka stands at 6’1" and is a leading scorer for her team and continues to show out when she steps foot onto the court. Brcka is a very well rounded and skilled athlete when it is broken down between her fundamental training and overall foundation. Brcka has been seen in 14 sets this season with 64 kills thus far. Brcka is one of Wheaton North’s top scorers, averaging 16 kills a game. Brcka is without a doubt a rising elite athlete and continues to manage to place herself on my radar as a stock rising athlete. [player_tooltip player_id="138666" first="Chelsea" last="Williams"]- Lake Zurich High School Williams is another outstanding outside hitter that is going to be one to keep eyes on during this season, because she is without a doubt a sleeper athlete. Williams has been a varsity starter during her three years at Lake Zurich, starting her high school career off without an outstanding performance with 253 kills with 74 sets played. Moving into the 2nd week of this season, Williams has tallied up 62 kills in 15 sets played. Williams is a decorate athlete who has range in her athletic ability when it comes to how she plays strategically on the court. I am interested in the power and performance that Williams has in store for us for the next few weeks to come.
