Bates had a big match for Seton in their recent district semifinal match versus Milford. The senior outside hitter terminated 21 kills on 47 total swings for a .255 efficiency. She took several heavy swings from the left pin and out of the back row and challenged Milford’s big block all evening. The Troy commit has had her most productive season of her high school career as she has amassed a total of 355 kills thus far to lead the Saints at 3.7 kills per set. Seton next takes on top-seeded Springboro on Saturday.
Madison Heiser – 2024 | Canton Central Catholic
The Crusaders have won three straight matches to find themselves in a DIII district final versus undefeated Independence on Saturday. Heiser, a sophomore middle, has been providing some of her best offensive play late in the season as she has five straight matches in double figure kills, including a career high 25 in their most recent win over Elyria Catholic in which she hit .553 on the evening. She leads her team at 3.0 kills per set.
Alyvia Hughes – 2024 | Western Reserve
Behind a big match from Hughes, the Blue Devils advanced to the district final. She led her team offensively with 19 kills while hitting .244 in their 3-2 semifinal win over Brookfield. She also picked up 21 digs and served up 10 aces for a triple-double and a big point scoring line. Western Reserve is 21-3 overall and currently ranked #19 in the Ohio Division IV state poll. Hughes, just a sophomore, is averaging 3.7 kills per set and 11.6 digs per match. Both are team highs.
Brianna Siefring – 2022 | St. Henry
The 5’10 outside hitter led St. Henry with 19 kills on Tuesday as they defeated Marion Local 3-2 to advance to the district finals. They next will face #4 seed Fort Recovery on Thursday. Siefring hit .333 and added 15 digs in the win. St. Henry is currently ranked #5 in the Ohio Division IV state poll with an 18-6 overall record. The senior has been a big factor for this program offensively for a couple of seasons and is providing her best offensive production as she has tallied 257 total kills while hitting .301 on the season. Siefring also averages over 10 digs per match.
