Three 2024 Region 7 Middle Blockers On the Rise

<p>Middle blockers are among the sophomores on the rise in Region 7.</p> <p>The 2021 high school volleyball season featured multiple middle blockers helping to lead Region 7 teams across Louisville. </p> <p>Here are three 2024 Region 7 middle blockers on the rise. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="107405" first="Avarie" last="Adams"]</strong> is a sophomore middle blocker for Sacred Heart Academy. Agile, Adams moves well from side to side and is quick-reacting. A productive blocker, Adams closes blocks with the opposite hitter and outside hitter consistently.</p> <p><strong>Ella Cochran</strong> is a sophomore middle blocker for Atherton High School. Cochran reads the setter accurately and adjusts her approach to get the most out of attacks. Athletic, Cochran executes fast attacks frequently and reads opposing hitters successfully. </p> <p><strong>Ayen Nhial</strong> is a sophomore middle blocker for Seneca High School. Nhial delivers quick attacks on offense regularly and uses her athleticism to close blocks, both individually and with teammates. Strong at the net, Nhial uses solid jumping ability to produce along the middle. </p>
