The event will feature four different legs between January and March and will provide a tremendous opportunity for younger prospects in the region to showcase their games as the Power League has received nearly 500 entries in each of its five divisions.
The 15 Club division is the one expected to have the highest level as several of the prospects we’ll be able to watch have already made some noise during the last high school season. We’ve been highlighting some of the prospects in the division you should keep an eye on in the days leading to the event and, in this final piece, find out who are the liberos we selected.
Morgan Madison – Skyline 15 Royal – HS: College Park – 2025
One of the top liberos in the state of Texas in the class of 2025, Morgan Madison is Skyline 15 Royal’s floor general. Extremely technical and intelligent, she does a great job in coordinating the team’s backcourt efforts and brings a lot of value with her game. The 5’6” Madison stepped up to provide valuable contributions to a strong College Park team in her high school freshman season, tallying 496 digs (4.6 per set), 310 passes and 73 aces. She was recently with the USA Volleyball’s National Team Development Program (NTDP) National Indoor Winter Training Series in California.
Ariana Spell – HJV 15 Elite – HS: Langham Creek – 2025
Another emerging libero in the Lone Star State, Ariana Spell has brought great value to her high school team Langham Creek during the last season. The 5’5” defender exceled with efficient and intelligent game, establishing herself as one of the cornerstones of a young Lobos team that has the talent to be among the best in the Houston area for years to come. Spell has delivered in great style in the backcourt as a freshman, ending the season with 477 digs (4.5 per set) and 392 passes.
Maddie Dement – AVA TX 15 Adidas – HS: Pearland – 2025
Maddie Dement is an important part of a solid AVA TX 15 Adidas’ defensive core. The team has other very talented defensive players, but it’s the 5’2” Dement who shone the brightest at the FAST Warm Up, in December, when we first spotted her. Some of the things that stand out in her game are her superior mobility (something tailored in her background in gymnastics), great technique and focus on the game. She’s fresh from a 654-pass, 374-dig season with her high school team Pearland.
