Jamboree Standouts We’re Excited To Follow This Spring

She is strong offensively and defensively and moves well on the court. Thibodeau can pick up and put away balls at will. She is defensively scrappy and very quick with the ability to cover a lot of court. Byas is also sound in serve-receive and makes a lot of really great reads. Angelina Moore – 2024 – 6’0 – Right Side Hitter – Marian Catholic (IL) – Ultimate Asics 16 Gold This lefty does a great job getting her feet to the ball. Moore has a high contact point and a fast swing in the split. She also puts up a big block, giving opposing left side attackers a fit. [player_tooltip player_id="136628" first="Caitlin" last="Blomberg"] – 2024 – 6’1 – Outside Hitter – Marist (IL) – Ultimate Asics 16 Gold Blomberg works well around the block, and she takes a big swing across the body. She works just over hands and tools the block efficiently. Blomberg can pound the ball, but she can also do whatever needs to be done to get the point. [player_tooltip player_id="178617" first="Emerson" last="Hackbart"] – 2024 – Libero – Madison Memorial – Madtown 161 National Hackbart is solid and not an easy one to crack in serve-receive or on defense. She is good at playing the ball that goes overhead and can pass outside her midline, meaning she can cover a lot of court. She also has a solid and consistent serve. Julia Chonarzewski – 2024 – Middle Blocker – (IL) – Ultimate Asics 16 Gold She does a really solid job at the net and closes the block really well. Chonarzewski is a solid defensive middle. She does a nice job in transition and generates a lot of energy for her squad. She’s a game-changer because the moment she is in the game, those around her level up their game. King was super scrappy on defense. Megan Houlihan – 2024 – Defensive Specialist/Libero – Ultimate Asics 16 Gold (IL) Houlihan has some serious hustle. She was running into the crowd for the ball. Houlihan is a hard worker on the court and a leader on defense. She works hard in transition and has a high volleyball IQ. She has solid ball control and can play all six rotations. She plays solid off-blocker defense and can attack from the backcourt. Grigg is clearly there to work hard and compete while she shows the body language of a good teammate and brings a lot of energy to her team. Tamia Maddox – 2025 – 5’7 – Middle Blocker – Lincoln-Way East (IL) – Ultimate Asics 16 Gold Maddox is a smaller middle, but she is so athletic! I just can’t figure out where she is storing the trampoline she must be using because she catches some serious air. The only thing bigger than her jump is the dent Maddox puts in the floor after she takes a big swing. [player_tooltip player_id="178621" first="Taylor" last="Coleman"] – 2024 - Pin Hitter – De Pere – One Wisconsin Bay 16 Mizuno Coleman is really explosive on either pin. She plays with a competitive edge, and she’s disciplined on the block. Coleman’s combination of being quick and determined to make her a tough attacker to stop.
