Continue ReadingWe have been watching the 2024 class very closely throughout the entire high school season and used the data of wins and losses, stats, district finishes, awards, in person tournaments, matches and of course the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be moved up the rankings. Please congratulate the following athletes.
Reese Emerick Reese Emerick 5'9" | DS/L Westlake | 2024 State #33 Nation TX [2024] 5-8 Libero (HS: Austin Westlake/Club: Austin Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Reese has moved up again and is now ranked as the 20th top overall prospect and 3rd best libero in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. When we profiled her last we said, “Reese is a gifted player from the Austin area. She plays for Westlake on their varsity squad and also for the great Austin Juniors volleyball club. Westlake has a great libero in the making in this young lady so they can continue their dominance in their district that they have had for a while now. Miss Emerick has been on fire during her sophomore season for Westlake. She has the 5thmost digs in the entire state amongst sophomores. 577 digs on the year is a lot for an upperclassman, but this young lady is ready to be on the lips of college recruiters now. Remember this name because she will be a force to be reckoned with for years to come in the libero position. We are proud to have her in the running for an All-State award.” We have analyzed many liberos in this class when it came to choosing who will take home the award and we kept coming back to Reese as she has proven time and time again that she is worthy of winning it. We are very proud to announce that she is the recipient of our inaugural 1st Team All-State honors.” Her stock is rising as she progresses in the sport and libero position. We are very excited to continue to cover her and her wonderful Austin Juniors team this club season as their team is stacked. Please help us congratulate Miss Emerick for moving up the State Rankings.
Lillian Croshaw Lillian Croshaw 6'3" | RS Northwest | 2024 State #164 Nation TX [2024] 6-2 Middle/Right Side (HS: Byron Nelson/Club: Madfrog /Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Lilly has moved up the list. She is now ranked as the 23rd best overall prospect in the 2024 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. Miss Croshaw plays at Byron Nelson HS and also club for the always awesome Madfrog Volleyball program out of the North Texas Region. We profiled her previously and here is a little refresher of what we stated, “She is a multi-sport athlete who loves to sing and play basketball also. Her and her Madfrog teammates have one of the best teams in the nation this year and have been on a tear so far going 50-5 so far against some of the best talent across the nation. Miss Croshaw has some serious power in that bazooka she calls an arm. What is super impressive is her unique ability to change tempos and hit both quick sets and high outside pin sets. She is capable of running every route possible in the middle route tree at an early age. She drives hard with her footwork toward the setter for quicks and then swings even harder to put the ball away. Her length is showcased during her blocking and seems to slow the opponent down if not completely stop them often. We are extremely excited to cover her and think she has such a high ceiling to improve and move up the rankings in the future. Please congratulate her on earning a spot in the Prep Dig State Rankings.” It didn’t take long for us to realize that she deserved to move up the list and we couldn’t be more proud of her. She is a gifted middle and deserves the spotlight. College coaches should take note of this young lady now as she will have many offers flooding in soon. In the meantime, we hope our readers will help us congratulate her on moving up the rankings.
Morgen Durgens Morgen Durgens 5'9" | S Clear Springs | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-9 Setter (HS: Clear Springs/Club: Houston Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are excited to announce that Miss Durgens has moved three spots up the rankings. Morgen is now currently ranked as the 26th best prospect overall and the 4th best setter in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a super athletic setter from the famed Houston Juniors volleyball club and plays high school at Clear Springs. We profiled her back in December when we saw her at our Expo and here is a little refresher of what we wrote, “This young lady just wowed us at the Expo. She is a flat out star on the court. I have seen her in action before at a club tournament but what I saw at the Expo should make everyone afraid. This young lady has gotten even better. Watch out everyone in the age group because Miss Durgens can flat out ball. What stood out the most was just how smooth of a setter she is. She is so athletic and super strong. The ball comes out of her hands so fast but yet so clean. It was a joy to watch her sling the rock around to players that she didn’t know. I am looking forward to covering her this club season. She should have no problem holding her place amongst the top setters in the class from what I saw in person. Colleges take a look now!” We decided to move her up the rankings due to the progress in her game that we have seen both in person and in her videos. The power she has in her release along with her soft hands show very well to everyone who watches her. She is someone who just exudes confidence on the court and we are looking forward to covering her throughout her club season. Please help us congratulate her on the achievement of moving up the State Rankings.
