2022 Club Profile: L2 16-1 & L2 15-1

<p><strong>L2 Volleyball</strong> is debuting this year behind executive directors <strong>Sarah Lindstrom </strong>and <strong>Eric Lindstrom</strong>.</p> <p>Started in hopes to compete with other top clubs in the state, the Lindstroms wanted to provide another option for players to compete at the open level of club volleyball.</p> <p>There’s a lot of positive momentum being built early on in the club season for L2, with their 16-1 squad already taking home an Open tournament title.</p> <p>Here’s a look at L2’s top 16U and 15U squads.</p> <h4><strong>L2 16-1</strong></h4> [caption id="attachment_130427" align="alignright" width="185"]<img class="wp-image-130427" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pd/uploads/2021/02/80_Greta-Mckee2-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="185" height="185" /> [player_tooltip player_id="110313" first="Greta" last="McKee"][/caption] <p>L2 has built up a great stable of 2024 prospects, with two solid squads leading the way. However, 16-1 is setting the bar high for the club thus far. They already won the 16 Open of the Mizuno Steel City Freeze this month. As we saw with L2’s 17U squad, defense is going to be a strength for this squad. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="172207" first="Olivia" last="Behen"] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="110313" first="Greta" last="McKee"] </strong>lead the way in that department. Both are fierce defenders and fierce with the serve. Also aiding the defense is the blocking ability of <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="110331" first="Karlie" last="Vogelheim"]</strong>, a promising 6’ middle out of Brighton. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="153662" first="Catherine" last="Flaharty"] </strong>stands 6’1” and has been a powerful arm on the outside early on. She’s really dialed her game up another gear to start the club season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="110316" first="Alison" last="Parachek"]</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="110327" first="Ava" last="Thomas"], [player_tooltip player_id="110280" first="Katelyn" last="Berry"]</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="110297" first="Brooke" last="Foucher"] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="110315" first="Avry" last="Nelson"]</strong> are hitters that can be moved around the front line. They provide a lot of depth to the offense. At setter, <strong>Chelsey Hewett</strong> and <strong>Lea Rose Gage</strong> join Behen as setting options for the team, which gives them a lot of flexibility to mix up lineups and attacks. The team is high on their pin attacks. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="156289" first="Jillian" last="Collins"]</strong> is an explosive six-rotation outside that sees the court very well. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="156317" first="Keira" last="McNutt"] </strong>is another six-rotation outside option that has pinpoint accuracy with her passing and ball placement. <strong>Taylor Wyatt </strong>is a pint attacker that is able to slide into other positions because of her athleticism. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="156331" first="Madison" last="Stager"], Isabelle Henry </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="156309" first="Lauren" last="Johnson"]</strong> are middle options that can slide to the outside as well. While the team doesn’t have a lot of size, it does make up for that with explosiveness at the net. <strong>Kenzie McCombs</strong> and <strong>Kathleen Nelson </strong>have worked hard to develop great chemistry with the hitters as the team’s primary setters. Defensively, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="156310" first="Kylie" last="Kennedy"]</strong> and <strong>Rylee Bero</strong> are quick-reaction DS options that give their all to each play and fit the mold of the strong defensive units that L2 is putting together.</p>
