It was high energy and tough play right from the start at the Adidas Naptown Jamboree Showcase. Athletes from all over showed up to showcase their talents and there was plenty of talent there to showcase. They ran through various drills and game-like situations to highlight each position and let the scouts get a good look. The following players stood out and left it all on the court, earning a spot on the GameChangers list.
Top GameChangers Class of 2023
Alexa Kouskousakis – Rochester High School / Plymouth Volleyball Club
By far the top setter in the gym. She was all smiles and heart, she looked very comfortable on the court. A very dynamic player, helping out on every aspect of play. Great passing and defense, tough serves and sets that were close to perfect. The hitters surely loved when they had her as a setter for the drills. She placed the ball right where the hitters needed it even off of a bad pass.
Maeve Perry Maeve Perry 6'2" | RS Brebeuf Jesuit | 2023 State IN – Brebeuf Jesuit – Academy Tsunami 17-1
A big player at the net with both height and skill. She was great at terminating the ball as well as being ready for that big block. She transitioned well off the net keeping herself available to her setter and being a go-to player when they needed a point. Able to hit through or around the block, she is an asset for any coach.
Mia Querciagrossa – Metamora High School / Eastside Volleyball
A great finisher, swinging quick and putting the ball on the floor. She worked well with the setters and was able to get a swing on everything even if the set wasn’t quite where it needed to be. A great player to have on the court for energy and high IQ with her shot placement. Loved the way she could get after it.
Hannah Evenson Hannah Evenson 5'8" | DS/L Bishop Noll Institute | 2023 State IN – Bishop Noll Institute / Epic United Volleyball
A DS/Libero that wasn’t afraid to go get the ball. A tough server, putting pressure on the other side and keeping them out of system. She played with high energy and was a leader on the court. She kept things moving and was aggressive on defense, setting a great second ball when she needed to.
Alana Aucremanne Alana Aucremanne 5'10" | RS Center Grove | 2023 State IN – Center Grove High School / Circle City 17 Black
A powerfull RS with a great swing and smart placement of the ball. She was a lefty that could score consistently, elevating above the block and putting some heat on the ball to get it on the floor fast. She was great on defense, covering her hitters and picking up anything that was hit her way.
Alexandria Cline – Portage High School / Epic United 17 Elite
A strong server and passer, keeping the ball off the floor when she was on defense. She was a strong player at the net, shitting the ball with a fast, strong arm swing making it hard to stop her. She played with high energy and kept her team motivated.
