#7 Luca Bredenberg Luca Bredenberg 5'8" | DS/L Southwest Christian | 2024 State #104 Nation MN – Northern Lights 16-1
Bredenberg showed her versatility at the Gauntlet when her team was down 3 players and she stepped up to swing on the outside. She even had some block kills that got her team pretty excited. Bredenberg will be gearing up to take on more of the defensive court as her sister, Jayna, graduates. Her consistency in her serve-receive could help Southwest Christian take another trip to the X in November.
Everyone loves when a defensive specialist gets a kill but a BLOCK kill is going to mean a BLOCK PARTY 🥳 for Luca Bredenberg Luca Bredenberg 5'8" | DS/L Southwest Christian | 2024 State #104 Nation MN of @nlightsvball at the #PDGauntlet @PrepDigChris @PrepDig @PrepDigEvents @PrepDigMN pic.twitter.com/fabcWLXFCh

#11 Emma Rommes Emma Rommes 5'6" | S Caledonia | 2024 State MN – Xtreme VBC 16 Adidas
Rommes plays as a setter for her high school team, but she makes plenty of big defensive plays. She was a part of the 2021 Caledonia squad that won the Three Rivers Conference Championship while going 10-0 in conference play. Rommes also earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors in her sophomore season.
#13 Sophia Kuntz Sophia Kuntz 5'7" | DS/L Waconia | 2024 State MN – MN Select 16-1
Kuntz has been playing as an exceptional defensive specialist for MN Select. She can play left back or middle back and does a great job of protecting the deep corners. Kuntz also shows versatility as an outside hitter for her high school.
#17 Lucille Larson Lucille Larson 5'5" | DS/L Northfield | 2024 State MN – Northern Lights 16-2
Larson has a strong serve-receive platform and she is quick on her first step to the ball. I was really impressed with Larson at the Gauntlet and her ability to run the backcourt. She does a great job using her hands-on defense and keeping digs on her side of the net.

#19 Izzy Saffert Izzy Saffert 5'6" | DS/L Benilde St Margaret | 2024 State MN – M1 16-1
Saffert was chosen to attend the 2022 North Country Region High Performance Camp. As a defensive specialist this past fall, she did a nice job of staying deep in middle back and keeping her digs off the net. Saffert also earned a spot on the 2021 AVCA Phenom Watch List. She does a great job covering her hitters as a left back and moves quick and smooth in serve-receive. Saffert has a strong platform, high motor, and is a ball of energy.
#21 Lauren Schnettler Lauren Schnettler 5'8" | DS/L Browerville | 2024 State MN – Kandi Elite 17-1
Schnettler is the type of player who will step into any role with which she can help her team find success. For Browerville she is an outside hitter, so she is passing in 5-6 rotations and making an offensive impact. Schnettler is sound on serve-receive and steps in for the 2nd contact smoothly.
#30 Grace Therrien Grace Therrien 5'8" | DS/L Buffalo | 2024 State MN – MN Select 16-1
#32 Rachel Ryan Rachel Ryan 5'0" | DS/L Kenyon Wanamingo | 2024 State MN – SMV 16-1 Black
#34 Giselle Thao Giselle Thao 5'1" | DS/L East Ridge | 2024 State MN – Northern Lights 16 Black
